Great song, a beautiful amalgamation of your heartfelt singing of the sincere lyrics, the great melody / chord progression and the flawless production. Your voice, those strings (!), those chords, the sadness becomes palpable, but then there is also this acceptance and realization, the notion that you won't let this make you bitter. It made me think of another lyric, "Something made me smile / Something seemed to ease the pain / Something about the universe and how it's all connected". I must've listened to your song about five times in a row now while writing this. It's timeless. A good song will always be a good song, especially when it doesn't try to follow any current trends. It's simple, yet rich. I love it.
