This explains my fatigue! I'm on day 2 and loving my pint!! The feeling of freedom to glide on the ground is effing incredible!

Carving on the Pint helps my foot & calf fatigue too.

So far riding my sons Pint I’ve come to realize two things. That I absolutely need one of my own, and much of my nearly 20 years experience snowboarding has really come in handy.

This is great advice! I just started riding my XR to work for the first time, and I noticed that I was getting some foot cramps on the 5 mile trip. I believe it was all to do with me riding in straight lines for commuting purposes, and not carving around and negotiating tight trails like I normally do. I barely used 25% of my battery on the way to work this morning, but my legs are jelly and my feet hurt. Yesterday I rode from 90% to about 5% around a disc golf course around foot trails and through the woods and I never had any fatigue at all. I think constant carving and turning is the key, as you say.

I had to come back here to say that this video and your wobble video were really helpful - thank you! I’ve spent lots of time watching your videos and the info that I learned was invaluable while learning the fundamentals. My XR was delivered on Thursday and I took my first ride today. After working on the basics (standing, stopping, accelerating, and turning), I rode 6 miles and applied many of your tips along the way.

I've been skateboarding most of my life and the OW is completely different I love it but it's certainly a new vibe

Very true, actually flexing your muscles over and over helps to circulate blood in and fatigue causing chemicals out of the muscles.

I’ve been riding for a couple months now and carving is essential to understanding how the board works. I carve as much as possible.
  • Great video! I've been watching your videos for a while and they've been super helpful, both before and after I got my XR. This seems like great advice as even on the 5 minute trips I've made so far my calfs have been getting really tired. I'm gonna try this on my next ride. Thanks!

On day two, first multi-mile ride on my Pint today. Former active snowboarded, but been off the mountain for nearly a decade... life got busy 😔 Carving was a huge improvement on my front foot fatigue today. Awesome advice. Great day, huge smile the whole time. Only got up to 12.5mph (which I wasnt trying for, just noticed on the app afterwards, sign of progress, comfort, and growing familiarity) which is fine for me on a trail. Also, quick note. Had my first “over the nose” experience as well today, going up one of my secord or third hills/inclines. Went a little faster than my previous attempts, and dug the nose in. It was over in a flash... but, thanks to one of your previous vids with the guy from CarbonSmith I was dressed for the slide, and bounced tight back up and rode away thinking, “Well, honestly, Im kinda glad thats over with.” Great stuff, keep it up. In the days before my happiness machine arrived I poured over your vids and feel like I was super prepared to go, thanks to your insight.

I found that out on day 2. Day 3 I broke my shoulder < 30% accu, uphill, fullspeed, no pushback sensed, nosedive, ...🤦‍♂️ Can't wait to keep on riding. So much fun. Ride safe eb. ✌🏻
  • I was wondering why my leg was always sore from my ride sessions. I barely got my onewheel on my channel, but I keep coming back to this channel for all my onewheel content

Can't tell you how much your videos have helped my (safe) entry into community stoke! Couple minor falls but was prepped with safety gear and a plan so not even a scrape to show. I feel like your videos, blogs and rec's prepared me for everything except for the neck pain I experienced on my longest ride so far. Feet were fine, fangs were installed and float was happening until my neck started to get stiff. I thought it might have been from a minor slip off i safely landed during turning practice but as I rode it got worse. I just heard you mention neck pain in your NYC day 3 video and wondered if you have any advice re: how to stretch, adjust feet, or build stamina? Thanks again for all you're doing for the community and please keep turning out content we love (been fun to hear and see the subscriber count race up)!

Thanks for your videos. Because of you I actually bought a used Onewheel. I was lucky enough to find one with a fender and only 21 miles on it. Loving it. Thanks!

Carving is what the OneWheel is truly about... hell w/ speed. I have not found a better morning combo than OneWheeling and Vinyasa Yoga, sometimes w/ an Organic Bombshell Latte in one hand... Yes, The Best Day Ever! Experience has taught me to be mindful of hip, leg, and foot placement... The back foot stance is generally at a 45degree angle, though when carving the rear heel in my Vivo Barefoots will gently lift off the back plate a 1/4". Also, I have found that spreading my arms out like a skier w/ poles helps me maintain more control, and could potentially advert a face plant by running it out vs hands in pockets... haha. Hips are constantly in motion swaying in a subtle figure-8 w/ forward and backward centrifugal force of the gyro sensors in Custom Gemini Mode.

I just jammed downtown and back... 7 mile trip. No stopping. Second day with the board. I snowboard and can get those long 's"carves... Well they translate right or to pint. I'm loving it. You also get an opportunity to regenerate whole on your heal side because I teens to lean back into that side and push forward on toe side, gaining speed. It turns into this kind of push pull balance... Awesome flowing feels! Badass!

New subscriber to your channel, and let me tell you this is GOLDEN. Im up there +60, was looking at a Pint (cost). Wife saw my XR envy and spotted me 1/2 for the XR! (She's a Keeper) I'm loving this thing.... Kids chase me like the Pied-Piper ;) Your videos have been the "Onewheel University" for me! Great channel! :)
