Katadyn Mini Water Filter Part1 Field Review

In this video I don't do a full review of the filter but I show how nice the hose is to keep you away from a cold water source and avoid having to get as close to a frozen stream as some filters require you to get. This will be my go to filter in the winter for one or two liters of water. For larger amounts of water, say 10 Liters, I'm going to move towards making my 10L MSR Hydromedary bag a dirty water bag and just fill it up as fast as I can without filtering and then use a gravity feed filter back at camp. This reduce time in the cold weather and calories needed to pump or squeeze the water thru a filter. This way I don't have to filter all of the water for non potable uses.
