The older I get, the more tears I get in my eyes when I hear this song.
  • Did anyone ever really realize how fabulous Dean Ford was? He worked with so many people his whole life! Such a talented darling guy! RIP❤
  • I am 73 and from the very first time I heard this song, I knew it spoke to me and about my life and and still does. LOVE.

I was a freshman in high school in 1970. I fell in love with “Reflection of my life” the first time I heard it. Right on Marmalade! ❤❤❤

This song just straight off hits your soul and stays there, nothing quite like it, love this jam from Marmalade.
  • One of the best songs I am soon to become 63 years and even now this song seems to have more depth to me in my life and meaning.

Thank you Fil for including this great song. Dean Ford rerecorded this song prior to his passing. It was interesting to hear him sing it as an older man comparing it to when he was much younger. It appeared that the lyrics had a different effect to Dean. It was kind of sad for me to see him sing it as an older man as I sat there listening to it as an older man myself. I was happy to see him singing it once again though. It just goes to show how fast time goes in a lifetime and how short our youth is. Rest in peace Dean Ford and thank you to Marmalade for the music.

I was about three quarters of the way through my tour in Vietnam when I first heard this song. It was one of those that you feel deep within. I'm 75 now, and the changes never stopped. Hearing this after so many years sure brings back memories. Tomorrow's another day, more changes are coming. Go easy yourself, life is short. Peace and love,

This is one of the most meaningful songs of my lifetime. Beautiful as well as sad.
  • I took Marmalade for granted at the time. This performance always makes me cry. So beautiful, so felt and sensitively performed. I love his voice.

This song really hit the mood of the USA in 1970 - there was a sense of the passing of an era, with a bit of weariness and without a clear vision of the future.

We believed in World Peace. Vietnam was still on in the background. Assassination of the Kennedys, Martin Luther King- Kent State. Everybody was reflecting on their life. And everybody knew and wanted to change. Every now and then this song plays in my head. The death of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix 1970. Reflections Of My Life- this song really struck a chord. Thanks for doing the review Fil. This is a good piece of art and it evokes an emotional response. We believe in World Peace- we still do. "The world is bad place, a bad place, A terrible place to live." We really wanted to change that. This was soul- white soul.
  • One of my favorite songs, ever, ever, ever...Dean Ford was a genius! He went on to write and produce with so many, includingAlan Parsons!❤❤❤❤❤

This was one of the last songs my dad and I listened to before he died on New Year's Eve 2018. It, along with Incense and Peppermints by Strawberry Alarm Clock were his favorite songs. It's a bittersweet memory but one I'll cherish always.

I consider this song to be an anthem. Such a well put together song by such talented people.
