The Ice Pirates is a 1984 sci-fi comedy film set in a distant future where water is the most valuable resource in the galaxy. I recently found this on dvd, it's an old childhood favorite. My favorite role of Bob Urich was as Spenser. I always felt that he is the closest real person to the character and always picture him when reading the series.

There were scenes in Ice Pirates in which Robert Urich looked like he was embarrassed to be there and I can’t say I blame him. He was inwardly grimacing during the Space Herpe scenes. At ABC gave him some dignified roles back in the day.
