For everyone wondering what they’re speaking, it’s called Pennsylvania Dutch. It’s actually a dialect of German from settlers that came to Germany. People heard it and decided it the word “Duetsch” sounded like ‘Dutch” and that’s how the term was coined. The languages are closely related

I think one thing the Amish did right was keeping their language. A lot of people loose it but they put a lot of emphasis on keeping and teaching it.

ok tlc, it's more than a stretch for me to believe her bf, a previous castmate gets a call from her saying her ex is part of her group and he drives from pa to fl and doesn't bother to stop by the house at all regardless of her decision. if you are laying the claim that he is insecure and jealous you have to make an adequate case. it doesn't help that outside of this episode matt isn't heard from or spoken about again. abandoned storyline eh?
