Paula Vennells failed to tell MPs about 16 examples which undermined the reliability of #Horizon, Lord Arbuthnot said.

The inquiry was shown notes from a meeting attended by Post Office executives and several MPs in June 2012 – including the then-Tory MP.

Notes taken by Lord Arbuthnot’s staff describe how Ms Vennells, who attended in person, the then-Post Office chief executive described the accountancy software as “very secure”.

She is a blatant liar. Why hasn’t she been locked up
  • @user-mo5om5tv1m
She acted with deliberate malice , many of the prosecutions were carried out years after it became known there was a software problem , no one stopped to ask themselves why hundreds of normal rational hitherto blameless people suddenly embarked on criminal activity. Perverting the course of justice and perjury calls for a long jail sentence what that evil woman did is totally unforgivable .

Vennells is a disgrace and should be locked up
  • @zingo2664
should be jailed and ALL the huge .... HUGE ,...payments & bonuses & pension payments she received from post office given back to ALL postmasters ( or their families if they have tragically past ).
  • If those at the top of the Post Office dont get jail terms, this process is a waste of time.
  • @passenger6735
JAIL!  Then sell her assets as proceeds of crime.
  • This woman and her cronies should be jailed for blatantly using public money to prosecute the innocent postal workers

So much respect for the integrity of Lord Arbuthnot.

Absolutely agree , she lied, its on tape, she ruined countless lives, reclaim her bonuses and pay incentives , should face trial for perjury at the very least
  • @robintaylor7004
She'll apologize and want to draw a line under the whole thing. It's what rich, powerful people do eh! I would like to see proper justice but I suspect there'll be none. Too many skeletons for too many powerful people.

Without doubt, withholding pertinent information about previous cases because it would be detrimental to present cases under investigation is tantamount to lying. Paula Vennells therefore should be found guilty of perjury and jailed.
