If I sound drunk in the beginning of this video, that means... nothing. I swear.

Hooty was originally meant to have an origins episode in Season 2 but when the show was canceled they cut it.
  • The little animation where Luz is cheering about learning magic is way smoother than it should be
  • The tag on the elixir says “An elixir a day keeps the curse at bay” is a reference to the saying “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. I love the way they changed the words without changing their meaning too much so the viewers can easily understand them.

It’s annoying how Owl house was shortened bc Disney thought it wouldn’t fit their brand when MLB keeps on going and potentially rumored up to 7 or 12 seasons . We could’ve had 4 seasons and it could’ve showed Hooty and Eda meeting and expanded more on the relationships and journey of the characters (especially in the later season)
  • Perhaps by weather, eda meant that their “weather” is not like the weather of the human realm where luz comes from. It is the weather she is familiar with and weather is more corrosive and dangerous than the human realm’s weather.
  • How did I just realize that the boiling rain can be a reference to water burning witches in stories
  • As a person struggling with ADHD, I want to thank you Cyrus for what you said in 7:45 Even though I don’t struggle with an incurable illness, I can relate because there’s no cure for ADHD. I’ve spent most of my life stressing about my ADHD and feeling depressed about it because it’s a mental disability. I thought of it as a curse because it felt like an obstacle for me, especially for my learning and performance in school. But I’ve surprised myself with my resilience and not giving up. I’ve gotten support from those close to me. Overtime I’ve learned how to live with it instead of feeling bad about it.
  • Don't worry this show doesn't make you wait what feels like an eternity for answers only to give you some mediocre half-assed explanation
  • Eda's curse is so needed representation for everybody with chronic illness. From what I read, many people find it comforting, which makes me happy. However, I have issue with presenting chronic illness as "curse", because it implies that it is some sort of punishment. Illness is not a curse, this is not a punishment from god or some other higher mysterious force. Illness or disability is not morally negative thing. It is just... a thing. Yes, it is painful, it is depressing, it is hard and it can bring stigma to person with it, but this is not their fault. It didn't happen to them, because od their bad behavior, so they need to be punished. This is so common in folk stories that child is cursed, because of their parent behavior, which is pure bullshit. Even if this is genetic illness - it is nobody's fault that they were unlucky in genetic lottery. You're not cursed with your chronic illness. This is not your fault. Sure, there are health issues which are caused by human stupidity, like destroyed lungs from waping. But in many cases, it is not like that. Illness is not a curse. Stay strong! ❤

That M'kay caught me off guard- I did not expect you to make a south park reference 😂
  • I can't wait to see his reaction to a certain revelation about Miss Bustier in the new Miraculous episode
  • I think about the weather part Eda was talking about they're more like natural disasters
  • @diya0716
Btw each letter of title of episode spells out a msg but so do the hidden runes ,they spell out Two witches torn apart Now alone , two hearts of stone a curse of feathers and mud A betrayal of blood
  • I really hope that you continue this series, this show gets really good later on
  • 0:25 Caught me off guard🤣😭 Oh Boy, Cyrus you are in for a fun ride through the series and i am very excited for your season 5 part 2 review and i am curious to know your thoughts about Misty having a crush on Marish
  • 1:21 They might not be considered weathers because there might be no atmosphere in the Demon Realm but something similar to it instead. Or maybe they have a different word for weather.
  • Cyrus, I just want to warn you that you may want to avoid reading comments because some people are spoiling things without a heads up, though most of them are pretty minor.
  • Not even 30 seconds in and he already got me rolling lol This episode is a 8/10. Very good. Very intresting. Very cursed. Yes thar was a pun.
  • 0:26 Me: don't worry Rose he wasn't talking about you. Marinette: hey! Which one is he talking about? Me or my best friend? Me: both.
  • Your speech about disability reminded me about Oakwyrm, another YouTuber who talks about disabilities and queer rep in media. He made a couple of videos about Eda's curse as well and I recommend them (after you finish the show tho, because spoilers). The first episodes of TOH are clunky and sometimes they tend to have the moral of the episode too much in your face, but that's true for almost all Disney shows. I got really into TOH from the the late first season and the start of the second. It's also one of the few shows where I'm actually invested in the ship, usually I don't care and actually get angry when they come to interfere in the story (looking at you, Star)
