Other chaos gods: enter the realm of chaos Slaanesh: the realm of chaos will enter you
  • Nurgle is actually the most caring out of the chaos gods just wants to share his gifts with everyone
  • @chefegg5079
19:09 Funny thing about this creature, it is called the beast of nurgle, and is actually a jolly creature, seeing everything smaller then it as a pet, and goes in for a big hug. What it does not know, however, is that its skin is absolutley fatal to any being, so it does not know the creature it hugs, is dying in agony. Ones this happens, it gets sad, and moves on to find a new pet to hug to death.
  • @DeerlordJ
The fact they not only named the Godslayer Daniel, but also used that name in the trailer in a totally serious way, is just one of the reasons I love CA. Embrace the Chaos, embrace the memes.
  • The reason the daemon prince calls himself the god slayer is because, as a mortal, he shot and killed the bear god of Kislev in this games very prologue story.
  • @adamhadamcik385
Trailers are character-driven because they show us our faction leaders and their motives and agendas. When you play, however, you play as a whole faction, not just that one character. There is a lot of story in the game via different quests and missions. Ultimately you are the author of your hero's story. You are leading them in battles and making difficult decisions. Trailers show like an introduction to them but it is you (the player) who writes their legend throughout the campaign. These lords and heroes gain different traits that define their personalities. For example, you execute captives after battle your lord will get the executioner trait and enemies will be afraid of him. You are present in cities when new buildings are finished you get builder trait and new buildings are cheaper...etc. It is still a very character-driven game even tho it may not look like it :)

There are four gods, knowledge that should never be learned, rage that should never be unleashed, life that should never be preserved, and ecstasy... that should NEVER be felt.
  • @TheNzFox
the part at 3:42 sent shockwaves through the warhammer community, due to the map you see it was the first hint that they were making Grand Cathay a fully fledged faction as they have been nothing but half baked lore for 30+ years. That is why the adviser has the smirk on his face as CA knew exactly what they were doing
  • @TheRadude
While Nurgle is super gross, you have to remember that out of all the Chaos Gods, he cares the most about his followers. Also the mutations and diseases his daemons and followers gain, they are super tanky, live a lot longer than usual and most feel no Pain. There are plenty of stories of people Disemboweling a Chaos warrior of Nurgle and they pause for a second with a look of "That's all you got?" before still keep fighting
  • Tzeench’s forces may not seem like much, but there are few armies that are scarier in pure magical power, and they’re the true masters of the Winds of Magic. Also, little fun note: that massive jagged structure in the second trailer at the end is the Brass Citadel, the dwelling of Khorne and illuminated high above it is the Blood God himself, the first true depiction of him in media. The Ogres were originally meant to be the perfect species to completely resist the powers of Chaos as they were being designed by the Old Ones (The same beings that the Lizardmen worship and seek out and original owners of the world), but at the coming of the Great Cataclysm and the Collapse of the Polar gates (Portals the Old ones used for travel), The sudden arrival of Chaos throughout the ruined gates forced The Old Ones to flee and leave their ultimate creations unfinished, and so the Ogres began to develop as they are now, alongside many other events which affected them into the beings they are now. The Ogre Kingdom lore is actually quite neat and worth looking into, although that can easily be said for every single Warhammer faction, as they’re isn’t a single bad or boring faction amongst the universe really!!! XD
  • Some context regarding the two playable human factions in the game: Kislev: a pan-Slavic fantasy nation primarily inspired by Poland and Russia. They are the northeastern neighbors of the Empire of Man and directly border Chaos-worshipping factions. They're often the first line of defense against Chaos invasions from the north and as such are a people hardened by frequent conflict and death. They worship a pantheon of gods, the chief of which is Ursun (the bear god/ice god). Currently, there is political turmoil between Tzarina Katarin (ruler of Kislev & ice witch) and Kostaltyn, the leader of The Great Orthodoxy (Kislev's religious body) after the death of Katarin's father Tzar Boris. Cathay: fantasy China, ruled by the Celestial Dragon Emperor, his wife (the Moon Dragon), and their children. It's the largest empire in the setting and until recently was only a minor footnote in the setting. We still don't know a lot about it as they've only just begun creating lore for it and its characters but the Empire is divided up between the dragon children, each of whom are associated with one of the major lores of magic. The two we see in the trailers are Miao Ying (the storm dragon) and her Brother Zhao Ming (the iron dragon). The Chaos god most interested in Cathay, and thus their biggest threat, is Tzeentch, as he sees their cultural and religious focus on harmony and order as a challenge.

  • I'am just going to leave this little info here: Legendary characters in these trailers: KISLEV LEGENDARY LORDS: TZARINA KATARIN: Ascending to the throne and crown in the wake of her father’s bloody death fighting against the hordes of Chaos, Katarin has wasted no time cementing her grip upon Kislev. She is, in every way, a totalitarian ruler. She is stern and unflinching and will readily have rivals removed by agents of the crown if she cannot win them over with cold reason. The base of Katarin’s power, beyond hereditary right, is her extraordinary magical prowess. She is the greatest Ice Witch for generations, capable of magical feats more deadly and devastating than any other Ice Witch in Kislev. SUPREME PATRIARCH KOSTALTYN: Kostaltyn is the Supreme Patriarch of the Ursunite Cult and as the highest ranking clergy in the nation, the de facto leader of the Grand Orthodoxy. With wild hair, wilder eyes, and wither-thin limbs, Kostaltyn is a ghoulish figure, robed in the finery of the resurgent Ursunite faith. He is a howling, angry firebrand, screaming furious rhetoric at the enemy and urging the warriors around him to fight on with a fearful mixture of encouragement and threat. For he is himself fearless, able to recover from any wound quickly and thus inspire his flock to run pell-mell at foes that any sane person would flee! With complete control of the faith that binds Kislev together, Kostaltyn whips his followers into a holy fervour. He despises the machinations of the Tzarina and her Ice Court and considers them usurpers and magic-wielding heretics. KHORNE LEGENDARY LORD: SKARBRAND: The Bloodthirster Skarbrand was once the greatest of all Khorne’s Daemons. No other had piled so many skulls before the Skull Throne. One dark day, Skarbrand’s fierce pride grew hot and, blinded by rage, he smote the Blood God a mighty blow. Incandescent with wrath, Khorne cursed Skarbrand’s name and choked all personality from him, leaving only the bottomless rage that had caused him to attack. Since that fateful day, Skarbrand has wandered the mortal and immortal realms, drowning his sins in the blood of the slain – though he no longer has the wit to fully understand why. GRAND CATHAY LEGENDARY LORDS: MIAO YING, THE STORM DRAGON: Miao Ying believes herself to be the strongest Dragon sibling, and lords her power and position of authority as protector of the Great Bastion over her brothers and sisters. Despite her earned arrogance, she is well-aware of the significance of the task laid at her feet to protect Grand Cathay from the hordes of Chaos to the North. The constant scheming of the mortal lords of Nan-Gau, her capital and unconquerable home, does not make it any easier. ZHAO MING, THE IRON DRAGON: Ruler of the Western Provinces, the Iron Dragon is seen as a much more down-to-earth ruler and commander than his sister. Zhao Ming commands loyalty through comradeship, as well as his creation and use of powerful artifacts and magic items. He is one of the Empire’s premier alchemists and welcomes the same within his realm – much to the chagrin of some of his siblings. Proximity to the Warpstone Desert and the Great Maw, still seeping with the destructive magic that created it, has led some to believe his mind is beginning to unravel. This would certainly explain some of the odd tendencies and decisions he makes, but it is still far from anything approaching insurrection or dangerous to Grand Cathay. While less favoured than his sister by the Celestial Dragon, their mother, the Moon Empress, has a soft spot for Zhao Ming. TZEENTCH LEGENDARY LORD: KAIROS FATEWEAVER: Kairos can see things that are hidden even to Tzeentch. His right head sees possible futures as clear as day. No scheme is hidden from its sight and the infinite possibilities of tomorrow crystallise into irrefutable fact. Kairos’ left head sees the past without the petty colourations of perspective and bias. Valuable as this vision is, it comes with a heavy cost. Both of Kairos’ heads are blind to the present; he cannot see time as it passes – only events that are to come or whose time has already lapsed. OGRE KINGDOMS LEGENDARY LORDS: GREASUS GOLDTOOTH: Tradelord Greasus Tribestealer Drakecrush Gatecrasher Hoardmaster Goldtooth the Shockingly Obese was one of many whelps sired by the infamous Gofg, Tyrant of the Goldtooth tribe. Like his brothers, Greasus grew up to become strong and fat. Unlike his brothers, he killed and ate his own father. As word spread of such prodigious deeds, many Tyrants decided to join the ruthless new leader of the Goldtooth tribe and soon, once again, the Ogre Kingdoms had an Overtyrant. These days, grown older, larger, louder and richer than ever, Goldtooth’s coffers fill faster than his Gnoblars can count. Yet Greasus’ rampant success has not diminished his greed, or his all-consuming desire to conquer everything he sees. As the fattest lad around, Greasus rolls into battle on a custom-made, gnoblar-pushed cart stuffed with gold, gems, and plunder. The glory of being too rich to walk, writ large across the faces of his enemies. His iconic scepter is used equally to steer and smash skulls, while he is always chewing on a massive leg of meat, or equally using it to scratch himself. He is an inspiration and a hero to all Ogres, and a terror to fight on the battlefield. SKRAG THE SLAUGHTERER: Skrag is the legendary Prophet of the Great Maw, also known as the Gore-Harvester and the Maw-that-Walks. Dragging his massive meat-pot behind him – attached to his back with a series of painful, tearing hooks and chains – Skrag hacks and rips at his enemies in a glorious blood-fuelled dedication to the Great Maw. In his wake, he leaves a trail of dismembered limbs and body parts, which it is the duty of his Gore-Gnoblars to retrieve and deposit into his cauldron. His history is as sad as it is brutal, brought to his current sorry state by a Tyrant to whom he fed the wrong Gnoblar. However, the punishment only connected Skrag more to the Great Maw, making him one of the most powerful Gut Magic wielders in the world. NURGLE LEGENDARY LORD: KU’GATH PLAGUEFATHER: Whilst other Great Unclean Ones work to spread the plagues already extant, Ku’gath, the Plaguefather, is fascinated by the breeding of new and virulent life. Ku’gath aims to one day breed a contagion that can infect the Gods themselves. The Plaguefather rides upon a massive palanquin bedecked with alchemical paraphernalia: vials full of seething powder, flasks of indescribable liquid and hessian sacks stuffed to bursting with Nurglings. This great bulk is held aloft by a carpet of straining Nurglings, and Ku’gath is attended on by countless others, all bred from the Plaguefather’s pox vats. SLAANESH LEGENDARY LORD: N’KARI: N’Kari, the Arch-Temptor, is a notorious and ancient Keeper of Secrets that scours the immortal and mortal realms to experience the ultimate sensation and taste ecstasy in its purest form. Over recent millennia he has developed a hatred for the Elven twins of Ulthuan, and whatever his short-term goals, the next part of the plan will surely involve their eternal misery. I know this is very long, but hey at least you know somthing about these cool characters! :D ( havent included the ones that are not in the reaction like boris or belakor! )
  • @JohnShepherd117

  • @kn0bhe4d
6:00 Don't you hate it when you got for a walk with your bear doggo and end up in front of the Brass Citadel?
  • @Kollektivable
The candy explanation was on point I must say. You just pick the Faction you like to play and rule with your "Empire". For Nurgle btw!
  • @bhurzumii4315
I'm surprised you didn't like Nurgle - who wouldn't want to serve Papa Nurgle and spread his gifts on the battlefield whilst your personal nurgling chews and sucks your weeping boils? In the end, we're all fodder for maggots...
  • @B1Fr0s7
Oh man you guys are so vanilla I just love it. It's really refreshing seeing someone react so confused , scared , disgusted by common warhammer stuff. I've always wondered how commoners feel about video games and warhammer and etc. so I just love watching you guys react to things :)
  • @paytonkraft7564
All it takes is one moment, hesitation, doubt, weakness, then the Gods have you.
  • @duskwalker6817
Can't wait for tomorrow, this release has taken far too long!
