There is a lot of talk out there about the Green M&M. She's gone through some... iterations, but that is NOT what we are talking about today. At least, not the most important thing. What I'm looking to see is if green M&Ms can help you get LUCKY! Think of this as the spiritual successor to our chocolate episode a while back.

food theory idea: could eating food you dont like actually make you sick edit: that question sounded better in my head, but now i realize its just dumb so nevermind also i did NOT expect this many likes whatsoever i thought it get like 40 maximum
  • I feel like everyone's overlooking the most probable fact that the green m&m was the first and only female mascot for years
  • Matpat: trying very hard not to explain birds and the bees Also matpat: makes a video about candy mascots being canibals
  • I like it how the original photo of MatPat's cutout he uses still looks like it's been photoshopped in
  • @shawnjones99
I love how hard MatPat is trying to keep this family friendly.
  • As an irish lad i rarely heard 1st base etc we just ask no hidden meaning words it's just " have u shifted " "have u done IT with her/him/them" "yous are together ?/ together now" and the questions can start (depending on which county or friends ur with ) from "yous are together" to" have u shifted" or" yous are together ?" Whats he/she / or are they like etc etc

Food Theory Idea: Are banana peels really slippery? What makes them slippery? Are other fruit peels slippery? Which peel is the slipperiest?
  • I know that if I were in a study, and a bowl of singular-colored candy was presented to me, I would be distracted by trying to figure out what the study was trying to discover, whereas being in a room with a bowl of normal distribution candy colors, I would assume they were just there as a bonus snack to help the subjects focus on the task at hand. Maybe that's a future theory too, "does eating while doing a task help you focus?"

I hypothesize that a mixed bowl of color is possibly more "fun" thus leading to a higher rating than just a plain color, no matter what color that is
  • When I was young I recall reading that British soldiers in WW2 would keep their green Smarties (a candy-coated chocolate like M&Ms) to throw into the grass when they returned home. Why? So their kids would spend the afternoon trying to find them, while dad was inside making up for lost time with mom. Tried to find a reference online, but can't find one. But as M&Ms are inspired by Smarties, the connection is there — assuming some author wasn't lying to me!
  • Thanks MatPat… Changing my dating app profile pic to one of me holding a bowl of mixed M&Ms

3:32 Alright, Alright, you have officially convinced me to rewatch every office epsiode
  • @Shenonator
As a german, i can say it took me years to figure out what the whole "bases" thing means in detail, we dont have a really common methaphor here, we get straight to the point !^^

Fun story. There was an upperclassmen in my physics class that didn't like purple Skittles and said they tasted like children's tears. So she would offer them to the table and I would usually eat them. So now I love to say I like eating children's tears everytime I eat purple Skittles.
