    One mistake, Kaifeng is in HENAN Province. Hainan is the island in South China.

    Why did you mention assimilation like it's a bad thing? Those Jews wouldn't have survived the centuries, especially the last one, if they didn't assimilate on some level. So cool to know there are Yews in China!
