If Magpul made an A1 style and length stock that fit on a carbine length tube they would sell a million of them. All it would need is a locking tab and screw on the underside to lock into one of the adjustment notches in the buffer tube.

My AR came with a B5 system stock and I replaced it with the Magpul STR. MUCH BETTER. I love the ergonomic butt pad.

I recently got the MOE® Fixed Carbine Stock – Mil-Spec and while a good stock, it shortens the LOP by about 1-1.5 inches. I needed a longer length of pull so, I did what any good American would do and got on you tube. Turns out the fix is relativity easy but requires drilling the tube. Mission is accomplished ( about 10 mins of your time) and length of pull is where it should be for me, for anyone else, maybe not.

Sl-k, basically the same as SL version but more compact so faster shouldering and lock into shoulder. lighter and less stuff to snag on. quicker and less protrusive
