Very Cool Mario Movie Trailer Reaction

If you aren't aware, I'm currently taking a mental health break from YouTube and Streaming (sorry) But I tried my best to get out this quick video giving my current thoughts on the animated italian movie because y'all know I NEEDED to talk about it

Bowser looks cool as fuck.

I think the only real issue is chris’ voice with the accent isnt too strong, so it really just is chris’ voice, other wise I genuinely am looking forward to it. If theres one thing Illumination is showing they’re really amazing at is the visuals. And the “Do you yield” sequence literally made my jaw drop.

Whyd Chris say “Koopas” like a slur

The only time I'll allow them to make a fart joke is if Wario does it

I bet Nintendo were like vultures watching over Illumination, making sure they didn't make their regular bullshit movies. Making sure it wasn't like the "other" Mario movie.

Jack Black is gonna be the MVP of this movie, full stop

I really hope they do a Mario Bros Super Show type story, it'd make Chris Pratt's voice make a lot of sense

I think this is how you do a teaser trailer, not show much, but just enough to get you interested. Other Illumination trailers usually spoil most of the film. The entire trailer felt very un-Illumination. Like: -Decent humor that doesn't overstay it's welcome -no fart jokes -no pop music -actual Mario music

It actually looks really good surprisingly?? I was expecting something horrible but I'm actually excited in a good non ironic way

i think the reason that mario's voice irks me the wrong way is because it isnt like the "new york mario" voices. it's just "chris pratt but kinda new york-ish." compared to everyone else that we've heard, chris just doesn't sound like he's putting in the effort to BE mario. it just sounds like chris pratt with a weird accent.

It really doesn't look all that bad. I think Nintendo just took the handle off Illumination and pushed it far away from Illumination's usual shit, at least judging by the fact that they delayed it. Bowser sounds great, Kamek doesn't sound half bad, Toad is actually a very fitting voice despite usually being a shrill raspy infant, and Chris Pratt Mario actually kinda fits as a Lou Albano type Mario from what we hear. And, of course, Charlie Day was born for Luigi, so it's a given that he's perfect from what we hear.

Jacks voice coming out of bowser honestly fit so much better than I expected, and bowser actually felt threatening and badass which i also did not expect. But when they teased us with charlie day Luigi they know their main selling point right there

They went with the Brooklyn route for Mario. I don't mind it since it's mostly the safest route since we've also associated Mario with a Brooklyn accent via the show and movie.

Dude if I was 12 I would be foaming out of my mouth desperate waiting for this movie to come out

Considering they said that one wrecking crew character is in the movie and Nintendo insist Mario isn’t a plumber anymore, Mario is probably gonna be a wrecking crew construction worker from real life Brooklyn

I really love the limited 3D in this movie, it’s so charming!

Gotta say, i didn't expect Bowswr to have a Paper Mario 64-like floating island

For all the time that they took yo show this, this felt more like a teaser, than a full trailer

Honestly, this trailer makes me actually excited. The opening scene with Bowser attacking the Penguin City was amazing and hilarious.
