  • I hope these women that he has helped will pay him back by giving him a cooked meal especially during the holidays when widows and widowers feel the loneliest.

By the twinkle in his eye at the end, you can tell that’s a man at peace with the demons and the grief. So happy for him.

If I pass before my husband, I pray he finds a similar path. Between the horrific abuse he suffered in his childhood and the time in the military he spent in combat, now 50 - 60 years later, his PTSD still causes him to suffer from nightmares and depression. He doesn't even want to admit he has PTSD. All I can do is love and support him.

25 years ago, it was hard to find someone to do small jobs around the house. I have a feeling it is even harder today to find someone who is willing to do these small jobs. May God continue to bless and protect Danny.
  • I was 9 months old when I lost my dad in the Vietnam War. It makes me feel good watching stories about our vets. Caring for others. And helping others in need.
  • "It's more blessed to give than to receive".📖 Wow! Thank you, Danny!
  • The best thing I’ve heard in a long time. Honey Do Man gets my vote!!

What a kind man. As the wife of a frail man, I can tell you that I really miss my husband's ability to do all those small jobs around the house. This guy is a mensch.
  • @RDnAC
I wish he lived in my neighborhood. I could use a little help. What a nice guy.

How does Steve Hartman not cry❤ while reporting these stories
  • @wavedog23
Okay, this entire story is sweet, but his penchant for taking a photo to remember everyone he helped out is just next level wholesome.

😊 great story....... he's being productive not sitting around alone anymore 👏 BRILLIANT idea for him to offer help to folks needing a handyman 💪
  • Rudolf Steiner said the best thing a person of melancholic temperament could do is to help others.

One of the best news segments I've seen in a very long time, now that's a way to sublimate crisis into positivity
