In this video I go over the lore of floor 2 and the backdoor sublevel that was added cuz of the hunt event. thankfully this isn't just Korblox stuff this is big lore about the story of doors and everything that happens in it. I hope you enjoy it!

  • When you brought up a red light, I remembered something NO ONE talks about (probably because they all moved on), around 1-2 weeks after the Tower Heroes x Doors event released, there was a weekly challenge where you would use all the towers that have Doors skins and the premise was YOU were the entities trying to get the humans out of the hotel. The interesting part is that there was a red guiding light helping you. This means the red guiding light isn't on our side. You can write this off as non-cannon but there is in-game Doors evidence. The crucifix failing, could be seen as this red guiding light stopping our guiding light. Modifiers can be seen as red guiding light trying to make the hotel hell (which is LITERALLY THE NAME OF ONE OF THE BADGES) for you. The easy ones can be seen as false promises. TL;DR: Tower Heroes X Doors weekly where you'd play as the entitles had a red guiding light, which can be seen with modifiers and when the crucifix fails. The red guiding light isn't on our side though.

    The red light might be the hotel itself, it seems to be related to the modifiers and most of the modifiers make the game harder and the modifiers are unlocked after doing something like surviving eyes, so the hotel might go like "hey that wasn't fun to watch for the both of us why dont we make it harder?" another evidence is the crucifix doesn't work on seek and figure and as it breaks it turns red like it's own way of saying "dont do that, it's not fair and not fun"

    4:58 oh that bright blue gl flash was probably just the effect for the minecart respawning since it did fall a second ago.

    Separate comment for an unrelated note, but I think the blue light flashing in the mines teaser is supposed to be how the minecart respawns once its lead down the wrong rail track. Guiding Light could possibly be able to respawn stuff like that?

    Remember when someone translated the crucifix sigil text to “one of three architects marked by celestials guides you”. Earlier people theorized this meant guiding light had three ways of helping us, Attacking entities, guiding us, and moving the world, as seen in door 50! But that’s not the case. The new painting shows the night sky with 3 symbols, the star, Curious light, the moon, guiding light, and the MODIFIERS symbol. This shows us 2 things. 1: the line “one of three…” is referring to it, and 2: the main role of a ACTUAL 3rd light is Modifiers. Meaning that Modifiers is canon to the story of doors! This also explains why some Mods remove Guiding light and also explains the red wall blocking us from rooms. This also explains why we get no death message from guiding light. The only remaining question is why is Rooms blocked from us, more specifically Curious Light, but not the entities, which likely relates to the reason that why Curious light is depicted as bigger in the painting.     The Painting in door 60 before rooms depicts Guiding Light,Curious Light and who i think is angry light or mischievous light idk but my main point is how much light in the painting they're emitting like Guiding light and angry light are shining a bit brightly while Curious Light is shining more meaning Curious light Could be the strongest of the three and forgot it's memories because of the other 2 fighting against it idk just a theory could explain the red door in modifiers

    the void reminds me of the universe— dark, empty and vast. guiding light and curious light are similar to stars that are present in the universe. i dont know but thats what vibe i get from this whole thing.

    As some one pointed out in the unamed painting there are 3 simboles:Star for curius light,moon for guiding light and the red modifier icon for a red light and what the thing I was thinking about is that the red light is able to change the domain of guiding light and straight up remove it with the gone fishing modifier and maby bring over hast as the devs said there would be a modifier that would do that makeing me think that it is more powerfull and for sure not to happy about us or It thinks of our strugles to get out as a show.
  • What is unexplained is where all these entities came from. My idea is that it could be another form of light that is creating the entities and making them do its bidding to keep the players from some sort of end goal. Right now we don't know what it is. It could just be escape from this seemingly endless realm. (btw I'm pretty sure its a pocket dimension type of thing, not a hotel remodeled into barracks from WW2 like Matpat suggested due to the existence of vacuum in the lower levels.)

    When you look at it, the tower heroes x doors collab showed us stuff from the backdoor; Hole is very similar to Vaccum, both having the theme of being big empty holes, Haste seems to have a connection to the mischevous light, as they are the only red entities (no figure does not count as he is salmon, or maybe he does and is just less influenced by mischevous light)

    It wouldn't suprise me if beating the sub-floors wil eventually unlock some sort of secret ending envolving Curious Light whenever Doors ends.

    I believe that the backdoors is a prototype to the hotel. First of all both start of in an elevator, the reception rooms look very similar as you need to find the key and the key is always at the same location. Now the entities. Lookman works like eyes, don’t look at it. If you didn’t know, the original name for eyes was the lookman! So that could mean the backdoors is a prototype of the hotel. Blitz might have been a prototype of rush. There are also construction tapes in the backdoors. The architects which are the 3 lights may have created the backdoors but scrapped it and then later made the hotel. The rooms may have been like an office to to the actual hotel, the rooms are used to monitor the hotel. And Bob was one of them.

    I have a theory that the red barrier that blocks the entrance to the Rooms when playing with modifiers might be the third light. Think about it. It is a red glowing light that only appears when playing with modifiers. There is a red light in the doors x tower heroes event called mischievous light. There is a red light that resembles the modifiers symbol in the painting with CL and GL. I think this might be the third light but idk maybe not

    3:20 Something interesting I noticed is that the blue moon symbol and the red modifier symbol only appear on the curious light painting if you have at least one modifier on.

    On the painting at 4:09 we can see de guiding light, the light that guide you. The curious light, the light in the potion in the backdoors, the light in the room that help us. And the red light, is probably the modification light that can actually modify world and entity action. I think the curious light is a mix of the modification light and the guiding light. And when you use crucifix on seek and figure, the blue light turn to red. Probably the “modification light” is not helping us and try to kill us like with modifier and saving seek and figure. I d’ont know if it can help for the lore but I think it’s probably important.

    I have some assumptions Why are you sucked into the void after choosing the wrong door in backdoors? Because backdoors is located in outer space while the hotel is on the ground. Why backdoors is located in outer space? I thought of that because of Unnamed painting, It depicts a weird supernatural star like thing that's located in space, what if that's the parent spirit/the curious light itself? The backdoors probably got teleported away from hotel for some reason and now since it's closer to what's likely related to curious light(star like thing in unnamed painting), we can hear curious light speak.

    Im pretty sure in the floor 2 video guiding light is seen "respawning the minecart" and not directing the player as we see the minecart falls down a ravine but when lslpash turns around the Minecraft is magically back there. just an assumption tho. it makes the most sense to me.
