Feeding the monkeys and gaining there trust is actually one of the first things you should do. Mostly because the monkeys won’t attack you and might even bring nuts, food, ad water or show you where they are.

You should bind a palm frond to a staff or stick so you have an umbrella for shade. Makes a big difference. Where I live, the sunlight is like an oven and scorches, so an umbrella is really helpful for walking around the property.
