I remember talking to a furry, I asked them about the whole erotic scene and they were just like 'Bro. Do you know how much these suits cost? I'm not trying to get ANY bodily fluids anywhere near this thing'
  • @vixenrin
A friend of mine passed away in February and she was a hardcore furry. She got bullied for it a lot and when I first met her I thought it was weird but I’m glad I met her. It made me realize that i literally can just mind my own business and not judge others. She definitely made me a less judgy person and I thank her for that. I bet she would have loved this video and the open mindedness you had towards it. This video reminded me of her and made me very happy, cool video Kurtis
  • I used to be a fur suit performer for Disney world and universal and I openly told people I was paid to be a full time furry.

There was this one time at our local con where a bunch of young adults threatened with a knife a 12YO LITTLE GIRL just because she was dressed in an animal costume... I'm not even kidding

Love how the majority of the internet did a full 180 in the past years and said "Hey, maybe cringe culture is actually just bullying people for enjoying harmless things you personally don't like" and I'm all here for it

“Don’t make fun of the furry community. If they can afford a 5,000 dollar suit then they can afford a 5 dollar pipe bomb”

Though I’m not a furry myself, I’ve always found the absolute disdain for them weird as hell. Anthro animals are EVERYWHERE! Cereal mascots, Disney characters, children’s book illustrations, this isn’t a new phenomenon. But make them more colorful and create a community around them and n o w it’s weird?

Honestly it looks like fun! Who doesn’t like colorful art and costumes and cute animals?

Gotta love the fact that he actually took the time to research this topic, instead of just watching cringe compilations and laughing or something, mad respect bro. I feel bad that furries are bullied so much over a hobby.
  • @Soymaid
I used to just shrug at furry hate and go along with the jokes. Then a furry convention got literally bombed and everyone made a joke out of it. That snapped me out of it. Wtf kind of hobby could possibly make bombing innocent people funny?

As a non-furry autistic, I really really appreciated the edit he added in when he mentioned neurodivergent people. Props for really doing some research
  • @theonlymeowmeow
the fact that kurtis genuinely made me change my mind about furries because of this video
  • @foxhitsdrums
im not a furry but i am someone who overstimulates easily and i struggle to get through school days without these small, almost invisible hearing-blocks i put in my ears, which for some reason is seen as weird or cringe by some neurotypicals at my school. long story short, no matter what we do, neurodivergent people will never be fully accepted as non-cringe while still being comfortable, so do whatever u wanna do! live ya life yk
  • @gracieh7814
I had a student who had selective mutism because of parental issues. She felt more comfortable saying small sentences in the suit and liked sewing them. She’d always show me her art. Changed my perspective entirely.
  • @Patterrz
The fact that most cringe compilations are people that sit on reddit 16 hours a day, making fun of people just trying to enjoy themselves is pretty telling
  • I can’t thank you enough for not making fun of furry’s but instead helping others understand them! :D thank you!!!
  • @Danceyouwolf
As a neurodivergent person I have been a furry since I was 12. Actually I blame those cringe comps of furries for making me a furry. I always enjoyed animals and making animal characters. Plus having nerdy supportive parents set me on this path
  • @n6h6
the person who drew Kurtis as a furry is probably having the best day of their life right now
  • @smdb2304
Kurtis you’d be surprised how much so called “cringe” is actually just people dunking on autistic people
  • @mar_onpawzies
As a furry, i don’t enjoy having people telling me to kms online an in real life just because i like wearing an animal mask. I was out in my fur suit head and someone literally hit me when I was trick or treating with my 9 year old brother
