Your video is currently trending in our local media which gonna put a huge pressure on the adminstration to fix these things. Love your videos.

People criticise you for sh*tting on airlines, but actually you're doing them a favour by forcing them to be better and more competitive, as well as providing an honest review for customers.

Iraqi here. Nice review and job well done. Hopefully people in charge of this atrocity will be held accountable.

I’m an Iraqi and let me tell you This airline is Corrupted And oil is a curse in Iraq because a lot of people grow up this midst that we are a country that is rich with oil so we should sit back on a desk and be a boss. Customer care in general is the worst in Iraq in all the industries. And if you ask anyone to do their job then they will be offended. That doesn’t mean it’s all the Iraqis but it’s a huge percentage.

Josh, 2 things: 1) Remember, "the camerman never dies", and 2) We need MORE of these types of "real-life man on the street" videos.

The worst thing is that you’d have no confidence in the crew if there was an emergency. If God forbid, there was a fire, like the recent JAL one, you’d have no hope in hell that the crew will get you out in 90secs.

Hi Josh, This is Abdullah, Iraqi. I appreciate your video for showing the sad truth about the state of Iraqi airways customer service. Idk if youve known, but Iraqi airways is one of the oldest Arab airlines in the Middle East. And used to be the best one in 1970s and 80s which had fleet of several B747 which back then was something. my mum tells me how great the crew were back then and how good the food was even in economy class. but after the 2nd gulf war, iraq sent most of its fleet to iran to keep them away from air strikes, but after the war, iran refused to return the aircrafts so they basically stole them. and after 2003 corruption ate up the entire country and what you experienced is the result of corruption in iraq.

Unfortunately Iraqis are not service oriented people. I’m sure most of the staff are relatives and got the job by knowing someone in the airline. Thanks for doing this habibi Josh— maybe they will start to change after this video. Or maybe not!

Very honest review. Iraqi Airways will either ban you from flying with them again, or they will take on board your comments to help improve their service. I am sure it will be the latter. This was an excellent vlog. You and Noel Philips truly are the go-to-guys for honest travel reviews. Keep up the good work.

As an Iraqi, I appreciate your candid review. The core issue with this airline stems from its state funding, which results in hiring practices based on government connections rather than merit. This lack of focus on profitability or expansion has hindered its competitiveness. The current business model is unsustainable and requires significant reforms to achieve long-term success. I hope that your review helps inspire the necessary changes.

Normally, when employees (in whatever context) behave in this way, it´s because there´s a whole systems that allows it to happen. We´re not talking about a crew´s behavior, but about an organizational culture.

If someone told me the crew "experience" I would not believed it. Unbelievable for a business class ticket for $ 2.400 😢😂

The dig at Sam Chui had me laughing 😂😂 used to watch his videos a lot but stopped after I realised how fake they were. Rarely does he ever do negative reviews.

Embarrassing... This is literally daylight robbery! How can they get away with this? Such a waste of potential. Thanks for doing what you do and I really hope Iraqi Airways is putting together a task force to fix all this.
