Meanwhile, commander of IRGC’s Quds Force said Iran’s harsh punishment of the Israeli regime will speed up Israel’s elimination. Brigadier General Esmail Qa'ani made the remarks in a letter addressed to Yahya Sinwar, the new political chief of Hamas. Sinwar’s elevation came after the assassination of Haniyeh, which took place in the Iranian capital Tehran in July.
Gen. Qa’ani cited the promise made by Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei to deliver a "harsh response" to the Israeli regime.
