Male grackles showing off to one and other.
The camera angle isn't the best but I decided to post the video anyway.

    The chicken goes cluck,
    the duck goes quack,
    the goose goes honk,
and the grackle goes s̸̨̅c̴͙̻̀͝r̴̘̃e̷͇̒̈e̸̞̞͒c̵̰͕̔͋h̸͈͇́ .

Man I love watching grackles. They can be bullies and hog feeders but..they have such little personalities. I can literally tell them apart just by personality alone. I love their different walks. The army march, the tough guy, the puff ball with legs. I had one today chasing another grackle down the drive, and he was all puffed out waddling. It was hilarious.

Easily one of my favorite birds. They have so much personality and are very photogenic.

These birds are characters. I love watching them and I’ll feed them sometimes if I have a morsel of food.
  • I love grackles. They’re always full of personality and so expressive. They often make me laugh. ❤

Grackles look like they should be members of the crow family (corvidae) -- they're big enough to be sure! -- but they're actually not. They're related to meadowlarks and orioles.
  • I HAVE MANY GRACKLES AT MY FEEDERS! I am in long Island Ny. They are so funny!
