Made in Virginia - Oysters

Published 2019-08-12
Join us as we head to the northern neck and into the Chesapeake Bay to crack open some of Virginia’s farm-raised Oysters. We’ll visit the Little Wicomico Oyster Company to see how Virginia’s world-famous oysters are farmed and harvested, then to "High-Pressure Processing of Virginia" or "HPP" to see their high-tech method of processing the "Shuckless Oyster." All next on Made in Virginia.

  • I remember in the 60’s and 70’s working on a trap fish boat out of the Cape Fear River to Frying Pan Shoals, there was a lot of hard work and often times no return.
  • @neutronspdr
Didn’t know the Marianna trench was in the Atlantic lol. 😂
  • The Marianas Trench is off the coast of Japan, not in the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Here in central SC, Irmo, all we get in the grocery stores is the crap from the Pacific Ocean. They are horrible and I will not buy them. Walmart sell the Pacific crap. There is a little seafood market my house and the lady will NOT sell Pacific crap but only Virginia oysters. $20 per pint.
