I spent the last two weeks scratch building my largest diorama project yet! This HO scale mountain toy train layout is twice as big as my desert canyon railroad layout and cost around $1200 to make. I may make some additions to the layout like monsters or structures, but for now, I’m pretty happy with the beauty of the Rocky Mountain landscape.

Speaking of landscapes, check out my new WIW merch designed by my friend, ‪@9-Times‬! crowdmade.com/collections/boy...

All my craft foliage and scale plants are from Woodland Scenics and Diorama Presepe

I learned about plaster cloth watching ‪@RealTerrainHobbies‬

Man dude I gotta say your train builds are my absolute favorites to watch, the size and scale is so commendable
  • I don’t know why, but the “if you’re wondering why I didn’t add any track bed to this section right here…. It’s because of the large gap” made me burst out laughing 😂

I’m a school teacher in Glenwood; I love sharing your videos with my students. We often have diorama projects to go with essays or research projects and I use your videos as inspiration with the kids on process and details. Would love to have you do a workshop with my students some day if you ever have the urge to visit the West Slope.

Not only is the build amazing, the humour is very much on point!

This is so gorgeously atmospheric. As a train nerd, your train builds make me happy.
  • @DrYmath
Wow, more big builds please! This was a blast to watch come together.

The mountian reminds me of lookout mountain in colorado, and that seemed to be a good idea since you have a weapon off train. So your lookouts can tell the train where the enemy is coming and they can destroy everyone on their train track below the “lookout”

When Boylei posts a video, I make sure to like, comment and share, which is a tip I learned from my dentist

Ahhh... I used to live in Colorado, so every time you do one of these builds, I always miss it. This turned out absolutely fantastic, all the fall foliage with the snow and the color of the water are just so visually pleasing together. And the lighting really complimented it as well, beautiful as always!

It's always a treat when Boylei releases a new video, it's always a fun and relaxing watch. I've started painting miniatures again thanks to the inspiration from all the amazing dioramas.

As much as I LOVE your wild west builds, my heart lies in the mountains so I think this is my favorite build of yours yet. This is awesome and inspiring, Boylei! Great build.

I absolutkey love seeing more of the mountain builds. It reminds me of the front range of colorado and it kind of has a homey feel to it. Your tressel at the end also reminds of the george town railway loop. Due to how it is a downward sloping gradient and it turns which georgetown was the first in the world to build. Amazing job as always.

The scale of this project is incredibly impressive! The forced perspective with the mountain works so well
  • @PetesWorld01
Looks great, shame the triple loop didn't work out but the trestle supported section makes this look really cool! Do you have a P.O. Box or similar where people can send you stuff?
  • @skylark3232
I absolutely love all your dioramas, and this one has to be one of my favorites! The train and the landscape looks so awesome together! Thank you for all the work you do to make these awsome videos!

Spectacular! My son and I have an O scale layout that is 6 x 11 that I have “landscaped” over the years. Really appreciate your innate talent and meticulous detail. Thanks for sharing!
