Future Motion invited me to visit and sit down for their Onewheel Podcast with Kyle Doerksen, founder and CEO of Future Motion. We also got to hang out with @AlienRides and @BayFoils for more group ride fun.

I share my perspective from the experience in this video.

Thanks so much for visiting Jimmy & Andrew! Loved having you both. Let’s do it again sometime🤙
  • Future Motion needs to improve customer service and make the Onewheel user friendly in terms of maintainance and repair. And have a more progressive view to make Future Motion to be industry leaders again

Still kinda icky that they'd take action to silence negative feedback. It's similar to removing 1-2 star reviews to make your average rating better

Hey Jimmy, I am finally getting back into riding my XR again. It’s been a year and a half since my injury and I only rode it a few times just after it happened. It’s been 3 months since my 1 year of recovery after the surgery. I basically stayed away from all channels I watched because I knew that I would go out and ride and take a chance of injuring myself again before I was totally healed. But it’s time, it’s beyond time for me to get back on it. I love riding so much but now I have to start all over as far as getting my endurance and the foot and leg fatigue that initially happens when you first start riding a onewheel. I’m going to start small and slowly build into it again. Before my injury I only met one guy that also rode in my area. But I could see on the app where other people show their rides. But I’ve seen many people now riding onewheels and EUC’s since I haven’t been riding while I was healing. Unfortunately my Pint was stolen by a former fellow employee. But thank heavens I still have my XR. It’s good to hear that you actually got to go talk with them about onewheel issues. Because of you I got into riding the onewheel. I’ll be very glad to get back into riding it everyday once my endurance is back up to par.

That was a really cool experience Jimmy… The past is past and the future is rad 🤘🏻😎

Really positive video and thanks for the @bayfoils cameo. Looking forward to more group efoil rides! 🤙
  • Love your question about the right to repair and the fact you used Australia as an example because that is where I am. And recently I had an issue with my Pint X and honestly I was ready to face some headache but it was awesome how FM treated my case. They were extremely supportive and attentive. The problem was fixed as quick as possible. I do thank Mark from FM for being so kind and patient. Of course if we had a repair centre here in Australia it would be faster and cheaper but I need to say that the service provided in my case was excellent.

Group rides are the best. Winter is a great time for long rides on the bay!🤙
  • GREAT recap of your time in Cali and with the Onewheel team. The podcast was great as well. You asked great questions. Also I like the channel name change.
  • Oh shit Jimmy! Thanks for tagging me on the Facebook post, I been meaning to have a listen. Planned on doing that today. Thanks for your representing and asking those tough questions, can’t wait to hear their responses.
  • I watched the entire podcast. That was very insightful to learn a few things about you and your Youtube channel. Your channel was largely the main reason that got me into PEV's and I thank you for your professionalism, and production in all of your videos.
  • @AuthenTech
Met those guys years ago at CES. They doing cool stuff

The deliberate positivity of this video might rub some people the wrong way but it's a valid approach and in the interests of being balanced its a good clean slate to move forward from.
  • That looked like an epic trip to the Bay Area. And the OneWheel guys seem like genuine people. Glad you got to meet them. Now off to listen to the podcast.

Re-subbing, I subbed originally for the onewheel content and am not a big fan of other PEVs, nothing negative just not my thing. FM still has a ton of work ahead of them to correct their R2R stance but hopefully they are taking things in a better direction. Looking forward to you mixing in a little Onewheel content again. It's awesome to see how much this channel has grown.
