Things about Inder that show he's a genuinely nice person : 1. He notices Saru getting down from stairs. And it is sparks at the first sight for him. He thus takes initiative and goes and takes a membership at the library where Saru works. 2. When he asks Saru for a book recommendation, he clearly asks her... 8 saal bad koi jail se chhut k aye to use kya pdhna chahiye. Thus he has always been honest with Saru. He never hid about his dark past. 3. He courts Saru. Like a romantic gentleman, he sends her little notes and invitations on the library card. But when she doesn't respond, he takes it as a no. And stops bothering her. He doesn't claim her 'wo meri bandi hai'. He doesn't stalk her. He doesn't harass her. 4. When Ruby and Inder have a fight because of Saru and Saru asks him to say sorry to Ruby, he says 'main sorry nhi bolta'. But then later when he hits Saru saying 'get lost' and she doesn't return home. He goes searching for her and tells her 'I'm a beast Saru', she says, 'tm sorry ho, then say sorry.' And he says 'sorry'. This clearly shows the place he has for Saru in his heart, is special. 5. When Saru gets drunk, he doesn't take advantage of the situation. Instead, he ensures she is safe, by pulling her away from an incoming train. And helping her reach home safely. 6. Despite being in love with her, he helps her find a good match that would be acceptable to her father. Because he loves her, his motto isn't to have her, but to ensure she is happy. 7. When Abhimanyu ditches Saru and she kisses Inder in the hotel room, he pulls away. And observes restrain. 8. When Saru goes away without telling him anything, he leaves no stone unturned and takes the effort to find her, reach her and talk to her. 9. He stays by her side despite knowing that she has been abandoned by her family and has a terminal illness. 10. During court marriage, he refuses to take the father wala vow. Because it'd be a lie and he doesn't want to lie to Saru. While most other people in his situation, would've repeated the words of the registrar. This shows he means what he says. He's a man of his words. 11. When Abhimanyu refuses to marry Saru and in frustration she starts disrobing herself and removing her jewelry, Inder very respectfully wraps her saree around her and hugs her 'from behind' to reassure and comfort her. While many men would've used the opportunity to hug the girl from front in her vulnerable state. 12. While returning from Abhimanyu's place, when Saru frantically starts picking at the taxi seat out of anxiety, Inder quietly holds her hand, to support her, as if he's being the safe haven where she can put her anxieties to rest. 13. Even as a 13 year old teenager he had the sensitivity and altruistic instinct to take the blame of murder of his uncle to save his nanny. 14. When Saru is found with Inder at his home and the society people ask 'Saraswati Parthasarthy ne tujh jese ldke k ly apne ghar ki laxman rekha paar kr di. Iski koi wajah h jo tu bta skta h hm sharifo ko?' Instead of telling them that she had come to seek help for her makeover, he first turns to Saru, to seek her permission if he should tell them the whole thing or she'd like to handle the situation differently. Other minor details, to love Inder : 1. His perfectly sculpted body 2. The way he hugs Saru 3. The way he said 'Marry me Saru' 4. The authority with which he says 'mere pas ek gun hai. Agr agli bar mjhe bina btye kahi gyi, to uski 6 ki 6 goliya yha aur yha chla dunga.' 5. The way he wishes Namaste to Saru's mom when he goes to remove photo wala haar. 6. The way he says 'uske aansu rokne k ly main maar skta hu, aur mrr bhi skta hu.' 7. He feeds cats 8. The way he rushes to pick Saru up when she falls down at Mustakeem bhai's place. 9. The way he goes to hit Abhimanyu after he comes to know of Saru's illness. 10. His intense passionate eyes
