John Voight should have won for Midnight Cowboy as well.

I think this is the most gracious, humble Oscar acceptance speech I've seen.

Runaway Train. Midnight Cowboy. Coming Home. Deliverance. This guy sure knows how to pick them... and act in them. Those are ALL quality...because HE is a quality actor. Thank the writers, directors, editors...ALSO!

Coming Home is a great movie! One of my fav's. I have to say Angelina has all of the same mannerisms as Jon and looks exactly like him. Classy speech.

How refreshing it is to see a newly crowned Oscar winner have the composure to thank all of his fellow nominees and the awareness to defer to one of the greatest actors who ever lived: Sir Laurence Olivier. This was a very gracious and humble acceptance speech.

This is by far the classiest Oscar acceptance speech I have ever seen.

Nice to be reminded of how gorgeous Voight was. Glad he's still with us.
  • Jon Voight, what a star! I am currently watching Midnight Cowboy. He is just phenomenal. His connection with Dustin Hoffman in the film is just breathtaking. Nice to witness Laurence in this video. Boys From Brazil is an outstanding film. As a Nazi hunter films fan, I must add his performance in The Odessa Files too.

He looks so much like Angelina -- or rather, she looks so much like him.  Even the mannerisms.
