Seeing that red light reminded me of all the times my old house had no heat. So glad I live in a house with electric heat now.

  • The only way electricity is cheaper than oil or gas is if you find the golden ring older house that was built as an all electric home. Back in the 60's and till the mid 70's if you built all electric the utility company gave you a very economical electric rate because of a new nuclear power plant going online. That house belonged to a friend of mine who unfortunately passed away 12 years ago. 4 years after his passing his wife decided to permanently move to Arizona and asked if I knew anyone who wanted a nice single story 4 bedroom 2 car garage house? My best friend was just within 2 months of retiring so after getting the keys from the realtor I without telling them in advance took them out to dinner one Saturday and drove them the 63 miles from their house to this one where I had A caterer there with a complete " welcome home dinner" . The home sits on 3 acres of well landscaped land and they were not willing to enter somebody's house until they saw their name on the mailbox. They both gave me hell for that but after dinner was over and the food was great and they looked the house over from top to bottom and it was beautiful as Bob was a carpenter and took very good care of the place. Jack and Betty had described to me what they wanted in a house and I knew this fit the bill. They signed the paperwork three days later and have been overjoyed with the house. Their electric bill is no higher than $45 a month in the winter. They discovered when I told them the cheaper rate for an all electric house went with the house to the new owner and their old house averaged $145 a month. I am still invited to dinner the second Saturday of October every year as they call it the Retirement house holiday.

  • You rock dude! We watch you all the time at the HVAC place where I work. One day it was dead silent in here and someone had left the computer on and the speakers blasting. All of a sudden I hear, IT'S COLDER THAN HILLARY CLINTON'S TITS! haha we were dying! I love your videos. I learned about combustion analyzers today. :)

Steve, my question to you is about oil nozzles. I noticed that some spin on and then get harder to turn like in plumbing threads and that some brands spin on like a nut on a carriage bolt does. I always wonder if the later is a defective batch of nozzles. Please respond. Great videos, nice work.
