  • Wow Marc, this one brings back some memories... I travelled up there, as far as Kununurra, in 1975 with one of my workmates. We spent a week all up, near Lake Argyle, sleeping in a tent near the overflow on the old, unused, road. Fishing in the overflow was interesting - lots of Long Toms [very hard to keep, as they rarely got hooked and just let go when you tried to get them out of the water. Catfish were there, on the bottom too, but were hard to catch as the water sped past at the speed of sound! Or nearly that fast, anyway. Greetings from Perth. Cheers, Frank.

This is a beautiful part of our great state. This is a good summary of what's on the road north. For what it's worth, local shires don't have the resources to manage free camping areas and the clean up after that (small) percentage of people who leave these places messy. It really does behove all of us who love the camping lifestyle to clean up as much as possible so that these beautiful spots aren't closed off. I hear that the Broome (out at Cable Beach) caravan parks are approaching $80/night this year!

This series has been amazing , love the detail and your own respectful comments on these areas are gold for me and help immensely when I visit in the future , thankyou for sharing 👍
  • Absolutely my favorite of a very well done series. So well and honestly presented and visually interesting. Even the music was so well-done to create the mood. Living in the American Midwest, I will never get to WA. Thank you for bringing me along.
