Decent special that shows the story of all the Presleys and surprisingly includes 8mm footage of Elvis live in the 1970s.

  • His death at 42 was truly untimely. Too young, too soon. He could've lived til he's 100 and his fans would still go see his concerts. It's been 45 years and he is still loved by his millions of fans. His talent, his looks, sincerity, generosity and love for people especially his family, friends & fans were truly God-given. There will never ever be anyone like him. He's truly an icon, the King. Elvis forever.✌❤🤴🤴🤴

One of my favorite stories about Elvis and the movies was about a little girl I’m not sure how old she was. She was in the movie with him. They were trying to shoot the movie. For 2 or 3 hrs. She just couldn’t get it together. Finally Elvis took her aside and then told the director we are going to take lunch. So the director let it be. He told them when they came back, this child had not had any breakfast. You make sure that never happens again. After that They made sure that child had food everyday before any work began. He was so mad cause they had not made sure she was cared for. That’s how much he cared about others. Elvis took care of everyone but himself. He loved seeing other little kids when he didn’t have Lisa around.
  • I was 12 years old when That's All Right Mama hit the charts. So, I literally "grew" with Elvis. I have read thousands of books and articles about Elvis, each written by someone different. Each author had their own agenda in writing Elvis's story. The only one who had it right, and oddly enough did not publish anything, was Gladys. Yes, she was abnormally overprotective of him. She hovered over him, possibly creating many of his insecurities. BUT, she had it right from the very beginning when she said "we" ( his fans) were going to hurt him. We didn't mean to. We just wanted to love him. She also hit the nail on the head when she said she did not trust Colonel Parker. She thought he was evil. BINGO! I do want to add that in my opinion, Lisa Marie had no personal agenda in anything she put forward, other than, perhaps, to show the world what an awesome Daddy she had! I respect her and hurt for her. She lost so much when she lost him.

His Mom always seemed so sad. Such hard times. Then: seeing so many screaming fans for her Son worried her. So much Love. As bad as it was, his journey prepared him, all people and all music. He took it to the Top! With much LOVE!! FOREVER!!!

From a shy young boy to global superstar, the icon Elvis Presley. One of the most celebrated and influential popular musicians of all time, his gift and talent, flaws and failings are as enchanting now as they were when he first snarled his lips. The true king.👑❤️

I learned a lot from this documentary. I was only 4 when he passed, so I only knew what I had heard from others as I grew up. I truly understand why he was so loved. Family should always be first priority. I love that he lived this belief. I’m so sad that his Momma died so young. She really loved him deeply.

This was a great documentary. So sad we lost the KING and he paid dearly at such a young age. His music will live on forever in our hearts. I grew up with his music and still enjoy listening to so much of his songs.

A remarkable and unique singer, who dominated the pop charts between 1955 and 1963. He changed the face of popular music! Sadly, after 1963, his dominance of the charts began to sharply diminish once the British pop groups invaded the popular music scene. As a recording artist he will never be forgotten.

Rev. Stanley truly had Elvis back a true brother , he didn't like the way Parker treated Elvis and isn't afraid to say so .
