"Eventually I managed to get my breath long enough
...to tell him to SHUT UP!" πŸ˜‚
  • Me: sees that dad and son both get interviewed
Me: good so this has a happy ending πŸ˜…

This was 1 of the greatest shows on tv. Can't believe it only lasted 6 seasons. They should bring this back

Pool Neil, he had asked for a guided tour for his birthday but his son said NO. Blake wanted to do it HIS way. Even after the trip started the dad was hesitant to go, but Blake pushed on. If you really want to give someone a birthday present, give them what THEY want not what YOU THINK they should have.

Blake: i want to have an outdoor experience with my father.
Universe: Say no more fam, i got you.

I swear the actors in this series is next level, in a league of their own. The man playing the father in this episode was sooo good.

OmG the getting caught under the sheet of ice had to be horrible! And it's absolutely unbelievable what humans can endure and survive. It's truly fascinating. Why did they quit airing this show? It really was a good one, it literally puts you right in the terrifying moments! 😳

I seriously appreciate the work and reenactment that y’all put into these.
  • The more I watch this the more I appreciate my bed πŸ›Œ 🀭😩
  • It's really a miracle they survived considering how many times Blake's decisions almost caused their deaths.

Extremely heartbreaking the testing both had to endurance. Their relationship are indeed the most beautiful and humble I have not seen in a father and son. I love their respect, love, and loyalty for one another. ❀️

This does a great job of showing how vulnerable we really are as human beings when you strip away the guns, cars, phones etc.
  • I spotted this show about 12 years ago when nobody knew about it.Glad it’s finally being recognised.I just think they should make a few more seasons but at the same high level as the older seasons. This is one of my fav episodes.

The ending actually made me cry so hard, cause I just love how father and son came together and made it through, plus the Dad actor was great!
  • I almost drowned just watching that ice shelf sequence. Good grief, how do these men not have PTSD after that? Or maybe they do... How absolutely terrifying that must have been.

Blake has proven his Dad wrong
5 minutes later: Blake was wrong πŸ˜‘ πŸ˜‚
  • So much respect for this father and son! I lived in Alaska for many years before finally moving to some place devoid of bears!πŸ˜†
  • The last five minutes are emotional. Eventhough I knew what was going to happen, I was in tears. Glad they made it out okay.
