The only issue I have with Black tax, is the entitlement to your funds and lack of boundaries. I do like how it is an optional thing to do when disposable income is there.
  • I like your take on the black tax. Some people really do want to go far and beyond for their parents. It does add pressure though. But hopefully it’s done from the goodness of one’s heart not from a forced perspective. Those other family members who feel entitled make it such a negative thing.
  • "y'all are just angry that it's a black girl" I've BEEEEEEEEEEN saying this. Anytime a black woman posts about her luxurious lifestyle there's always questions about "where do you get your money" or weird assumptions like "yeah well we all know her husband is the one who paid for the bag" and what makes it worse is 9 times out of 10 it's other black women. Why can't we just see the lifestyle and move on, forget being happy for her, just move on and don't be weird. It's weird that people don't believe black women can work hard enough to support that kind of lifestyle and even if she is being "sponsored" so what ???? It's really been embedded in some people that a black woman's role is only to struggle and honestly bhod ke sana 🙄
  • I love how you emphasise the importance of CHOICE when it comes to black-tax. And that also means being able to draw the line when you’re unable to give money . I takes a very strong person to be able to have a backbone when it’s needed because seriously a persons piggybank won’t always have pennies. I love how you addressed it 👌🏽

I love your opinion about black women in luxury. I literally look forward to Jackie aina’s posts😅 I love luxury but can’t afford it yet. Still I love to see someone that looks like me enjoying it! It’s super inspiring☺️

No Thato ,these are waaaay too short!😩💔
  • Awesome topics. At this point I feel like you need to turn this into zoom meetings or virtual something to discuss these topics. It would be beautiful to listen to some stories and do some sisterhood bonding moments. Love it. I love me a glass of freixenet. Cheers 🥂
