Learn more about the landscape and wildlife residents of the Makgadikgadi basin in Botswana, a vast space of grasslands and salt pans, that goes from extreme drought to plentiful rainfall. The Makgadikgadi basin is created by a triumph of nature, beginning with the flow of the Okavango river in Angola, through the Kalahari, and into Botswana, past the Okavango Delta.

  • The dry season is brutal, it's crazy that one dry spell can kill off so many.
  • Praise for Botswana’s progressive attitude towards her magnificent wildlife.

Life in the wildlife is not easy for all the creatures. Some of them are blessed to be rescued & living in the wildlife sanctuary. The herd elephant orphanage is doing a wonderful job in looking after their elephants. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œπŸŒΈπŸ˜

Music often drowns out the narration of this excellent doc.

I have enjoyed so many of your adventures and this one was quite good. I'm not sure who was in charge of the sound but the background music was often so loud you missed portions of the narrations. I believe this was a first for this to take place. Like I said I am thrilled by watching. I realize I will never be able to travel to any of these places so this is the next best thing. Thank you and keep up the great work.
