I don't know why but when rain pours on the window even in real life when you are in your room feels so relaxing for some reason. It's like you feel safe and appreciative of the fact of having shelter and safety, and calms your mind hearing these soothing sounds. It can even help you feel sleepy and ready to go to bed. Your brain stops to overthink and worry and just stays at ease for a moment. It really is a comfortable feeling. Almost like ASMR from the weather.

My son is 6 and he’s autistic, he sleeps every night to this particular video and sound. He grew up on the coast, by the ocean and we moved away 2 and half years ago. He found this video all on his own and it’s his favorite video to sleep. Every night I asked him to put on sleep sounds and he puts on this video. Thank you for this.

Interesting how, without the pillows, this image of the ominous foggy trees and wide windows looks like a scene in a horror film. And yet those big pillows completely change the tone and makes me feel safe and cozy 😴

I have always loved rain and storms. As a little girl I would get in my bed and feel all safe and sound and listen to it and fall asleep. To this day I listen to rain and storm videos to fall asleep.
