Jesus Rode Into Jerusalem: The Real Story Of Palm Sunday

Today is Palm Sunday. We are going to go back that day when Jesus rode into Jerusalem to shouts of praise. Luke 19 gives us a rare glimpse into the very real human emotions of Jesus. Hebrews 5:15 says, "We do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses but was in all points tested as we are yet without sin."

At this point, Jesus is headed to the Cross. We will follow His steps right up to Easter. The story before us is about what happened on Palm Sunday and after.

Pastors Laurie, I need Jesus. I need prayer. I pray the prayer every time I listen to your sermons, shorts, messages. Every day it is a struggle for us. We are caring for my husband's mother and sister. They are the most selfish and lazy people I have ever met. I cared for his aunt, uncle, grandmother. This is a whole new kettle and it is difficult every day. We need Jesus' strength, patience and love. We pray every day, help us Holy Spirit. Help us Jesus. In your Holy Name. 🙏🙏🛐🛐✝️✝️

I loved how you applied the Triumphal Entry of Christ to our personal lives and also explained it was only a temporal triumphal entry, for those who were shouting "Hosanna" were shouting "Crucify Him" a couple of days later. We want Christ as our Savior on our own terms. I also loved how you applied the cleansing of the temple to what Christ does for us. He will drive out sin, but sometimes we allow it back in and He will come and cleanse us again, if we let Him and hopefully, the 2nd time, we will have learned our lesson and truly repent of our sin. Great sermon!
