Making the difficult decision about which of my lever guns would be the last to give up. Tough choice to make with all these wonderful Winchesters, Marlins, etc.
Remember, value, rarity, ammo expense, beauty, history, etc. are not part of the criteria in these videos. It's just what do I think would be the best all-around choice for all the types of shooting I might WANT to do or NEED to do now and in the future.

Hickok and lever actions were definitely made for each other

My great grandfathers lever action 30-30 Winchester that he bought out of the Sears and Roebucks catalog was the envy of my father and uncles for them growing up, so when my great grandfather passed it down to me before I could even walk, they were all a little sour. I still love shooting that rifle and it is one of my most prized possessions. Beautiful firearm
  • Year after year after year, I'm always blown away by his talent. All the fantastic reviews of so many great firearms aside, just watching him shoot is a treat, and this video is just another great example. Picks up lever action with iron sites, standing with no rest, and proceeds to hit every single thing he aims at, near or far... or very far. :)
  • Are you eventually planning on doing a "last gun I'd ever sell" video where you take the winner from each of these specified videos and pit them against each other?

For where I live, what I hunt and needs of security, the last lever I would give up would be a 44 mag or 357 mag. I could keep a favorite revolver for the same ammo, with versatility of two cartridges each and feel like I have all the bases covered. Plus I reload for both. A purely practical answer, as I'm not getting rid of my levers!

Last lever gun I would sell. My dad gave me his 1967 Winchester 30-30🇺🇸
  • I'm new to guns I grew up around them shot a couple but not as knowledgeable as I want or need to be. your videos have helped so much your wisdom is something I value so much, thank you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge with the next-generation
  • I think it's safe to say that there has never been a rifle made as beautiful as a lever gun

My grandfather bought his Winchester 94 30-30 when he was 11 years old. He paid $25 and 15 chickens for it. It's been cherished in my safe now since he gave it to me for my 12th birthday. I don't shoot it as often as I should, I should get it out soon. Keep up the great work Hickok 👍.

I’ve got one of those Henry 1860 remakes in 45LC and that thing is so smooth and accurate. Also I appreciate that Hickok didn’t edit out his mistake about loading the wrong ammo. Goes to show no matter how skilled you are it’s still easy to make a mistake.
  • Love the lever gun. James Stewart' Winchester 73 is one of my favorite movies.
  • @randyjon224
Love that sound, it's such a distinctive sound that any criminal breaking into your house would turn and run out the door after hearing it. Beautiful rifles sir, great video and content as usual.
  • another day of beautiful guns, and excellent shooting. great watch as always 💚 spring in TN is beautiful, love seeing it green up!
  • What an amazing collection, great to see them all together on the famous table. Love my lever guns, thanks for this great video, Hickok.
  • Great video about making hard choices! I too agree on the 45 Colt as most versatile. I love it light (in my 1873 @ 14,000 psi) or heavy (in my Model 92 @ much higher loadings). So, I’d have to keep both!
