I felt my bones creak when you said Dbarrier was 8 years old

The best is the fact that they ban baron and savage because generic omni negates are bad apparently but then they just release even more a couple months later

This past year has been the Warlords of Draenor of Yugioh

it's so sad that because of Konami's negligence Branded will forever be known as "that deck that puppet locked you"

Ngl i get the sentiment that decks like branded and lab being around and relevant for too long however aside from Sanctifire i legit think those engines are fine if we ban main deck floodgates, something we all agree should happen.

As a former speedroid player, I appreciate the comment on us getting taken out back and beaten to death. It really wasn't fair man.

Honestly funny hearing him rant about how toxic the floodgates are for 5 minutes straight just to casually say “Colossus can come back” Like why are people okay with the floodgate that you can turbo out consistently but not the sacky ones?

Shifter is by far the biggest problem on that list in my opinion lol. And I think that Apollousa deserved a ban more than Baronne, and especially more than Borreload Savage Dragon.

Do people want all the good cards to be actually banned in yugioh nowadays ??

It’s legitimately depressing to play this game sometimes. There are kashtira and snake-eye and yubel decks flooding the casual mode in master duel while I’m sitting here with my earth machine deck just tryna have fun. This game is so fucked.

Back in the day FTK/OTK decks were banned because they're unbalanced, boring to play against and it's unfair to not have a turn. The more consistent, the quicker it was banned, with several emergency banlists coming out. Nowadays every single strategy is focused on OTK/FTK. Konami dropped the ball by listening to meta players and trying to make "explosive" combo-focused decks. Oh, and the TCG isn't the problem. OCG is just as unfun to play. The problem is that sitting for 20 minutes waiting for the opponent to finish his board and doing nothing besides discarding Blossom once; then going into your turn and having all your actions negated/destroyed (and triggering more of the opponent's combos) is inherently boring.

Apallousa needs banned because its exactly decks like Snake-Eye that make it not ok and just because other decks can't make a 3-4 material Apallousa and make 2 or more other interruptions doesn't mean it should exist. If Caesar, Beatrice, and Apallousa get banned all of a sudden Snake-Eyes and future combo decks are way less overtuned and then cards like The Fiendsmith is ok at 3. Konami is being more careful with card design it just if we don't let the growing pains happen nothing will change and for what its worth 1 card combos are healthy when they aren't taken as far as Snake-Eyes. Just look at Branded without Sanctifire and Swordsoul. There isn't anything so unfair with their 1 card combos that they have to be banned. People might argue Dragoon but 1 Ash Blossom stops that from happening so what would be the problem with Branded Fusion. Its just doing what people expect fusion decks to do for fusion summoning to be good. Which is that for them to be good they normally have to be made with just the spell and cards from deck, banished, or grave. Using cards from hand or field normally isn't that good anymore and back when it was Polymerization and 2 monsters from hand fusion summoning used to be a meme. A useless mechanic to laugh at. Which only proves my point. Konami took a summoning mechanic that never used to be good and made it great.

Yugioh is best when the meta decks revolve more around RNG. I only play master duel but unironically the most fun I had was during tear format. When metas devolve into who opens their starter and extenders like SE/FK then it's just fucking boring, it's pretty much just Mathmech/Spyral with a shorter combo. It's just the same thing over and over again. Best metas was the one where Tear and to a lesser extent branded dominated (before they turned that deck into an inconsistent pile whose win condition is just a puppetlock. Mirrorjade aint too strong nowadays
