I commented on the BBC when someone asked why out of a country of 340 million were these are best and brightest we could get to run for president. I responded with "our best and brightest aren't stupid enough to want to be politicians".

Last night I saw four F-22 take off from a local airbase and all I could think was: "Give them hell kid! Just be sure to save some for Franklin!"

There was a Reddit post when the news broke about the F22’s heading for the Middle East. Thousands of upvotes, hundreds of comments. The comments were a 50/50 of Franklin references and people asking why everyone was talking about a raccoon. What a time to be alive

I watched this twice in a row because I was laughing too hard. The "But seriously, who was cruising across the desert on their camel a couple thousand years ago and was like 'This. This is nice. I like it here'" part and the "beekeepers" was enough to leave my face in pain and wet from tears. The whole video just slays. Kudos! Since deserts are usually old, dead sea/lake bottoms, it would explain the smell, since the dust is kicked up constantly and draws moisture out of the air onto its particles. Humidity and nasty smells ensue!

When my son came home from Afghanistan, he was so happy to be in Georgia, USA. I asked him why, and he says "fresh air." I looked puzzled, then he explained to me that the entire country smells like a garbage pit. I think the Kid has a point.
