I started developing a 2d tactics game a little while ago, after wanting to create it in an isometric perspective but not being brave enough. I think i'm going to finally make an attempt at switching to an isometric perspective now and videos like this are incredibly helpful. Thanks for posting 😊

Wow! Great video Tamara! I found you on reddit. I remember trying to make an isometric game but stopped when I realized I had no artistic ability. I have been trying to reach out to more creators and get more into the game dev community. You've gotten yourself a sub!

Getting into game dev and was researching on a style I could use for my game, this video was just what I needed. You’ve got a subscriber 💪🏾

When talking isometric I always remember the g\old Stronghold Crusader which at least to me, to this day, looks really good considering how old it is. Also after learning or stuff programming and gamedev I am pretty much in awe how they made it isometric with ability to easily switch camera sides, can't even imagine the math behind it.
  • lol I know exactly who you're talking about. LETS GAME IT OUT! Insane hospitals? Dark humor? yep its Josh from lets game it out

I was never know there are three kind of similar projections and their difference. Thanks for your video!

Recently discovered your channel and your videos are great. It would be awesome if you can make a video about elevation in isometric games. How to make platforms at a higher level and how to reach them (staircases/ladders/elevators etc.)
  • This is some very helpful info If your not super familiar with isometric artwork even.

... I swear to gosh that game at 0:38 was something I saw like a decade and a half ago on Wildtangent. Insane.
