I absolutely love curlformers! I've been using them for about ten years and have learned many tricks with them: Firstly, make sure you don't pull the form tight to your scalp, leave a bit of wiggle room. That will make the curl look a bit more natural, feel better on your scalp, and make the part lines less obvious. Second, You can use all orange on one side of you head and all pink on the other for the swept forward/back look of curls. Or, my preferred method, you can alternate the colors to give a balance curl mess. Third, when you're pulling the forms off your hair, don't just grab the top rubber, actually pinch it fully open. This will allow the hair to slide right out and less frizz problems will happen. In the reverse direction, you should also pinch the top open when you're pulling your wet hair through, this will prevent tugging and breaking of fragile damp hair. And Fourth, to deal with the funny partings, I've learned the above trick of leaving a bit of space at the scalp, also, I carefully run my fingers along the scalp in a soft scrubbing motion, kind of like I'm blending dry shampoo into my roots. And if there's any stubborn area, I find that teasing the hair a bit at the scalp can help hide any funny parts. Hope my ten years experience helps!

+Milabu I use bobby pins for heatless curls. Wet set, same process but you can control the size of the curl as you roll up the curls around two fingers. And it doesn't hurt your scalp to sleep with them in. Also, it creates (after brushing and placement/and direction), 1940s waves.
  • Do zig zag sections so you can't see the part lines, and use a brick lay pattern. Those are really awesome!

Thanks for actually taking the time to try the curlers a second time to see if they turned out better! Definitely helpful 👍🏻
  • I tried these and got the curliest curls I've ever had in my life. I was so shocked because my hair doesn't usually take a curl without using a lot of product. I LOVED the curls, but had no idea how to finish them in to a style that didn't look crazy and frizzy. Please do one of your 10 styles videos to give us some suggestions. Thank you!

I just did my first experiment with the pink and orange curlformers (my package contained 20 of each color and included 2 hooks). My hair is definitely on the short side for this product (only barely below my ears) but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to put them in and the fact that THEY STAYED PUT even in my short and fine hair!! And I even got a couple of cute curls in the end :-) Definitely gonna try again once my hair has grown a couple of centimeters (especially my bangs looked crazy afterwards). Thanks for making this video - I enjoyed it! :-)

Ah! I've wondered about the CurlFormers for some time now but haven't tried them! Thanks for the video. I have fine hair and it's so easily damaged by heat so I've been pin curling my hair each night with great success but a very retro looking style in the morning. Part lines are easy to prevent if I work with my hair after it's dried, adding back in a mixture of water, leave in conditioner, and setting lotion. I spray each section with the mixture but leave the root section (1 inch closest to my scalp) dry. It works perfectly...curl and volume without part lines. Now I will try it with the CurlFormers.
