Being Danish, I was intrigued by the bottle, as I have never seen that before in Denmark. Georg Bestle was a vintner and wine merchant born 1855-1933, although I believe the business continued after. I have yet to figure out the year these bottles were produced. The bottles came with the music box already built in, and apparently it played while you poured the drink! Lovely video, thank you

Just so special to see the progress you have made. Your details are delightful! About your attic treasures; we recently closed out my father's home, my childhood home. There were so many special finds of our childhood and memories have been triggered daily as I delve into boxes and boxes of goodies and grubbies. 50 years of my family's life! Thank you for sharing these treasures. Isn't the unexpected exhillerating?

Linda I too am in the end process of moving to a new home. Just like you leaving a beloved home and gardens of 32 years. I, like you am in my 60’s. Your emotions of leaving your home paralleled with mine as we were moving same time as you. Love, love your blogs. You are a true inspiration and wealth of information. I also am a thrifter and avid gardener. I look forward to your work in progress in your new home and gardens. I will be working here in Wisconsin right along with you on my blank slate. Your storybook cottage would be beautiful with outside brick painted white or cream or lime washed.

I have been following You Linda for long before the Story Book Cottage but have never commented. I am so enjoying your updates. I am in a different state and gardening zone, yet I feel I learn so much from You. I can not wait for the new garden updates!

I’ve moved into a smaller home and still have boxes unpacked. I use feeling bad because of it. I live alone and my best friend who helped me pack has been sick for the past year. So I’m doing it my self. I’m putting in a new kitchen because the cabinets are small and there was a unusable space that I’m going to put in a pantry. Seeing your home makes me feel better and not so unorganized. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Bathroom outlet that does not work: check to see if there is a tripped GFI it is in series with. The GFI outlet may be in some weird place (one of min was in the garage, about as far from the bathroom as it could get.). Love how you are getting nested in your brew home.

What a GREAT house, Linda!! The layout is just marvelous! And I so love all the "attic treasures" you have found! I think you are right about the bathroom chair being for a dressing table....I LOVE it and love your idea of putting a terrycloth cushion on top. Oh, how I remember the stenciling of our Subject folders for school! Wow, the advice I would give my "younger self"! LOL... Thanks for our first of many strolls at your new abode!
