Press conference with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola following their 1-1 draw, subsequently lost on penalties, to Real Madrid in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.

He says he has no regrets as his side did everything they could to win the game, how he picks the players up ahead of a huge game at the weekend, whether he felt confident ahead of this match, whether he felt Bernardo was at all distracted, whether he considered leaving De Bruyne on the pitch, whether he was surprised how deep Madrid played, what explanation he can give for not being able to beat Madrid, whether he feels Madrid v City is the new "Classico of Europe", says that City played well but paid the price for not being able to score and talks about facing teams that play a low block as Madrid did tonight.

Always humble in victory or defeat.
    Pure class for Pep.

Remind me of prime Barcelona with pep! You beat every statistic possible and still can’t win sometimes! That’s why football is different

When will Haaland finally perform in a big match? Still waiting for that to happen.

I TAKE MY HAT OFF , ON REAL MADRID DEFENSE 👌

Ancelotti knows Pep so well … His weakness is set pieces and penetration into the penalty box … That’s why Real Madrid generously gave away 18 corners to Man City

These are the games you would think Haaland shines and fights, but I saw not much fight. Doku should have started

Listen. I am a United fan. City played RM off the park last night. It was England v Poland all those years ago. Sometimes these things happen, but City were miles better than RM

Thanks for the quality of the football you have done on the field. Sometimes the result doesn't fit to the game, it's football.
  • pep's team concede goals every game...tough to win even if they score 3 ,they concede 3

Doku should have started. The only time in 70mins grealish actually got into the box and shot was when he was coming off and doku was warming up . Constantly gets to edge of the by line and plays it back to the corner of the 18yrd box .. no wonder haaland looks shit.
