  • Trying to be liked by everyone is exactly what people don't like about him.
  • @Splurkus
Writing for Jimmy Fallon Jimmy's line: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  • Jimmy Fallon having a drinking problem is probably the most likable thing about him..

Conan & Graham Norton are my personal favorites. Very different men but make enjoyable talk shows.
  • Jimmy's fake persona is exactly why I won't watch him. Much prefer the Conan, David Letterman, George Carlin or Bill Burr type. The last thing the world needs is a people pleaser host.
  • “People that come off as your best friends are often monsters off stage” .. fast forward to today with the Ellen DeGeneres situation. Wow, is that statement ever true.
  • I mean, Ellen tries to act like the nicest person who’s ever lived, and it’s well documented she can be really abrasive.

I’ve always thought Jimmy Fallon was an unfunny hack, but hearing he likes to booze it with his staff in weird bars makes me like him a little.
  • Y’all sleep on Craig Ferguson. Most charismatic, personable late night talk show when he was on.
  • I admire Anthony for not being afraid to speak his mind.
  • Just imagine being a comedian writing for a show where being funny isn't the main priority.
  • Anthony: "some of these guys can be monsters off stage" Joe Rogan: "yeah... Speaking of monsters, did you know that chimpanzees........"

These clips are about to be very relevant again

Jimmy wanting to be super likable is why people don’t like him. He seemed super chill and cool when he did an interview with Howard Stern. Seemed to be his true self in that atmosphere. When he hosts, he seems like he’s trying to be super into it and laughs way too much. I think Jimmy is a good guy but tries too hard to be liked, which is why some people don’t like him
  • "it wasn't about being funny, it was about sounding smart and likeable" Yeah sounds like Jimmy Fallon alright

I’ll tell you the best story when we get off the air. Brilliant, thanks.
  • I would never have guessed that Jeselnik would've written for Fallon, but when he said that he did it for a full year and they used almost nothing of his, I instantly believed it.
