Nexigo Iris 4K Webcam Review - For Content Creators v.s. Elgato Facecam Pro, DSLR & Insta360 Link

Published 2022-11-07
From an I.T. Professional, and long time video/photo enthusiast I did my own personal research on what is the best "camera" to get right now for those on a budget with a mission to create content.

I got down to 3 top picks.

The Elgato Facecam Pro, the Insta360 Link, and the Nexigo Iris.

After all the research and comparison, the Nexigo was my first purchase, and here is why.

I have been watching a lot of review today, and non e of them have mentioned the Nexigo Iris, and only a couple of them have been worth watching. This was a good review. Than ks.

Thanks for the comparison. I'm in the same situation trying to make a choice.

I just received my Link today and I've been really enjoying it. I did have to contact support to report a small issue I found (autofocus—which, because it uses phase detection, is usually very fast—is a fair bit slower when HDR is enabled). While I was giving them all the details of the issue, I recalled this video, and I specifically pointed out the NexiGo Iris to them, and the white balance/tint functionality it has, and asked if it would be possible for them to implement something similar. They seem pretty eager to listen to feedback (based on my support experience with them, as well as what I've seen from some other creators who have interacted with them), and the agent I spoke to told me that they'd run it by their engineers to see what would be possible. So maybe in the future if we're lucky, the Link will get a similar amount of control?

Thank you! You just saved me $100. I'm sending my elgato capture card back. After trying without, it's not worth. it.
