The highly anticipated Paris Olympic games have been overshadowed by a controversial depiction of the last supper that sent billions across the world into a rage following the opening ceremony.

Paris 2024 Olympics organisers have since come out and apologised for offending anyone but many aren’t accepting the apology, vowing the boycott the games, which is having a domino effect on sponsorships and advertising.

Sky News All Stars Caleb Bond, Caroline Marcus and Evelyn Rae take a look at the wave of backlash that’s marred the Olympic games.

They put people in jail and ruin their careers for not using proper pronouns. They…belong…in prison.

An apology doesn't mean anything when you don't think you've done anything wrong...

Where was their mockery of Mohammad. Oh right, they knew Christians would turn the other cheek. Muslims, not so much.
  • France may have artistic freedom but the Olympic Games are NOT a French event. As the hosts they should have respected the fact that religious people across the world would be highly offended by the disgusting display of anti Christian sentiment. I’m a Jew and I was appalled by this dystopian circus.

The reason Christianity is mocked is because it’s truth. Satan isn’t threatened by things that aren’t true. He’s the author of lies.

Even the lady who portrayed "Jesus (Barbara Butcher)" wrote that it was meant to be a mockery of Christianity.

It wasn't an apology. I wouldn't accept either way. Woke is disgusting and weird!
  • You can't apologize for something like this. It's out there permanently. And they are only apologizing, not for offending anyone, but to try to keep sponsors. France has been a pagan country for quite some time. Hi Rita.

Article 50 of Olympics charter "no type of political, religious or racial demonstration or propaganda shall be permitted in any Olympic venue".

Never an intention to offend... Of course they meant to offend, they just didn't expect backlash.

Boycott everything Olympic. Do not spend any money for this sh*t.

if they insulted the Prophet Muhammad paris would be on fire right now .

That apology was impotent beyond belief. . . They meant exactly what they did and didn't care thatvit was offensive, only that people were offended

In the US people say “go woke-go broke”, clearly France hadn’t heard 😂
