Fun fact, kishimoto said that he killed Jaraiya off the way he did bc he knew that he would not be able to write a good reunion between him and naruto during the war. He didn't believe himself capable to deliver a good fight and reunion so he killed him off in a way to avoid that. Gotta give him a lot of respect for thinking that far ahead and realizing how much of an impact a reanimated jaraiya would have on naruto. Could you imagine?

The clones he creates has half his chakra and half of kurama. So him making hundreds of clones shows that he already has massive amount of chakra without Kuramas, just that Kuramas chakra is pure and strong which enhances his strength
