Wheat Ridge police are warning pet owners as they experience an uptick in overnight prey animal activity in the area. FOX31's Nicole Fierro spoke with a resident whose cat was killed by wildlife and has a message for other pet owners.

    It's so sad but cats do not need to be outside. I have owned 6 cats and none were let out. Love them and keep them inside, please.
  • There's probably 1000:1 coyotes to bobcats out there. Just keep cats in at night. All the bad stuff happens at night.
