Do you think it would matter if i keep the temp very cold causing the compressor to be on almost all the time?

Does anyone know if i can sit my portable unit on a table?. I have carpet and the drain plug sits directly on the floor and i have tried all kinds of pans, plates, so i have to lay a towel down to drain and it is messing up my carper. Please help if you know the answer.

Hello Milo,I have a older house and my bedrooms don't have a 3 prong outlet on the wall..my question is can I simply plug it directly into an extension cord adapter power strip?

How do you affix the window slider kit to the window? My window is about 40” high and the tube keeps pulling the whole slider kit out.

Does it keep the room cool? I have tried 3 different brands and non of them even cool the room when the weather is 80-90 degrees.

has been a great ac unit for a year. now all of a sudden it's like some1 is touching the button/sensor and increasing the temp to max. and it shuts off. starting to annoy me so much

Nice review. I just ordered one of these. I'm also concerned about the heat generated from the hose. On another review someone suggested a Cool-Aide Sleeve so I'll probably get one.
