For the record: With the release of Year 9 I WILL NOT BE QUITTING R6 CONTENT. I have decided after playing the new year that the game is taking the proper steps in the right direction. I know this will seem confusing, but I will be making R6 content going forward and I have made a second channel to upload my non-siege content. I look forward to what the future holds and thank you all for the support!

I think that this is the perfect send-off for your Siege career. Can't wait to see what you'll do in the future.

As a private beta player and still playing the game to this day it really does suck to see how the game got better then worse over the years and how many people stopped playing it because how bad the game got, it's just not the same
-
kids are obssessed with 1.5x we OGs were with ACOG
-
This is really nostagic. I remember i had a 6.0 win/loss rate in S1 and was diamond but stopped playing and presumably dropped to plat (since i only have the plat charm sadly). That black ice plat is riding on all my weapons as we speak though.

miss old siege man, when the game had a realistic look and more tactical play style i could actually get my mates to play it with me lol. the gameplay is so repetitive and boring now, i really dont like the new visual look and the weird operator gadgets they've been adding too
-
Damn, I realized again that this game raised me. I was 13 years old and still at school when the game released. Now I’m 21, I’m getting my bachelor degree and I still play this game once a month
-
i really miss the old days of seige, where it was new and everyone was learning new tactics each week to counter stuff it was really fun. i stopped playing in 2018 it was just turning into something different each time a new operator was coming out, cheaters and bugs.

Man, this made me miss Siege of old. What a nostalgia trip. Part of me wishes so bad there was playlist/version added of just up to year 2 siege
-
This video is really well made and edited, and it brought me some nostalgia too, I started in Year 3 and Siege really was something to me, it was my main game for years, I hope year 9 bring some good content and updates to the game

I've been playing since beta and have been in plat or higher since year 2. I feel like I play more casually than I used to, despite the game getting seemingly sweatier. I think the biggest thing that's really changed is the player base, but more specifically how it's played. As people got better at the game, there began to be bigger gaps in skill, but also as new players entered and saw how the game was being played, they focused too much on improving their ability to win gunfights instead of on learning the strategy. Also the art style changes have made the game in a bizarre hybrid arcade/tactical spot and it can't decide what it wants to be. I think the whole "Ranked 2.0 champion" vs "real champion" really exemplifies the current skill gap, where someone who's a 2.0 champion could body bag a bunch of coppers by running around with warden but would get smoked by a coordinated team. The game is in an interesting place balancing wise currently, but I'm still hoping they just make a siege 2 at this point. Also great video, deserves more views but it kind of reflects the state of siege YT as well--will never be what it once was.

i’m just happy to see him back

Thank you for this video, I was waiting for a siege recap :). I've quit the game 4 years ago, and the game changed so much that me and my friends barely recognize it anymore. Siege raised me, it was my first main game where I met many people, and made lasting friendships. I'm grateful that I had the privilege to experience old siege. :) thanks for the nostalgia

Siege reveal demo was basically the best version being gritty, real, violent. Now you're playing in the Olympics killing one another instead of taking out any terrorist threat (especially since terrorist hunt is removed) it's like as if Ubisoft come up with the best ideas/concepts then reveal that concept to then basically completely destroy zed idea/ambition. now it's a arcade sparkly Fortnite want to be in terms of skins/cosmetics. They kill whatever they touch

Wow, I usually can’t watch videos this long without getting bored, but you made this really well, thank you for making my morning!
-
Man what a hell of a send off never got bored during this video once thank you for your help the last 2 weeks in improving in siege best of luck to you brother you are going to do big things we all know it
-
This is a really well done summary that is helpful for me. As I started in Year 1, dropped off until 5/6, and just started back recently
-
Nostalgia ive played since i was 14 in 2015 im now 23 still love the game However kids are alot sweatier than they used to be
-
Great video man. Beta player here. Crazy to actually sit down and visually be reminded how much this game has changed. I distinctly remember the day Blackbeard came out. Made me hate defending because I knew there was going to be a Blackbeard every round head glitching a window

Wow man, what an incredible video. It really is sad to see so many content creators leaving the game just as me and my friends are getting back into it. But I have to say that I am kinda hopeful for the game. The patch notes for the first season of year 9 seem like Ubi is really trying to get their act together and redirect siege away from the deathmatch meta. I think with some small tweaks and updates especially to the anti-cheat, ranked system, and especially the content drought we might one day soon see the game that we grew up with thrive again. Personally I would love to see r6 launch with a "siege 2" like how cs:go did last year to improve the engine and bring back the playerbase. I believe that one day soon, this game will be enjoyable again, and I hope to see you return triumphantly when that happens.
