Lisa said she wants to showcase her overall talent that she wasn’t able to show that much before. And this song is perfect for that. Money is more like her main thing as it’s a full on hiphop track but I think she can do more. Hoping that her collab with dj snake is true and we getting some dope raps from her. Nonetheless, this single album is so great and I’m proud of her 😍

If Lisa straight put out a rap track as her debut then people will comment they wish they see another side of her like her vocals. I think Lalisa is a very great solo debut because it felt complete from the vocals, rap, dance and visuals.

Lisa’s Interview On “Lalisa” you experiment with a couple different flows, including some of your hardest and fastest raps to date. What was it like recording that second verse in particular? At first, when I heard the rap [on the demo], I was like, “Oh my God, I don’t think I can do this. I’m Thai -- how can I rap in English that fast?” And Teddy was like, “No, you can!” I practiced for an hour, and after that I went in to record. I pushed myself very hard to complete it.

Lalisa in Thai means the praised one so I think this was actually an amazing way to solo debut. Telling the world I’m here praise me and love me while still showing her Thai culture and all her singing/rapping abilities. Lisa herself also said in an interview that they showed her a lot of songs and they were all “meh” but she loved Lalisa and money

It’s definitely about marketability . It’s not that she can’t do a rap track we all k is she can.. but to reach more of an audience, to get more sales, higher rankings , and more … I think that’s what this decision was about. I don’t think the track would’ve done as well as it’s doing if it was just a rap track
