This weekend we enjoy a scenic walk along the River Thames Towpath, Kingston upon Thames to the majestic Hampton Court Palace.

This historic route, also known as the Barge Walk, and was once the preferred river route of King Henry VIII and other monarchs travelling from London to their magnificent palace. The barge, of course, offered the most comfortable and efficient means of transport in those days.

Join us for a leisurely stroll as we take a brief look at the historic Kingston Town Centre and soak up the riverside scenery, on our way to the palace, and then complete our loop through Bushy Park, King Henry's former hunting grounds in the 16th century.

  • Really enjoyed being with you on this walk.Lovely company as usual.Thankyou.❤
  • Lots of people today. Old Henry had lovely stomping ground. lol. Enjoyed. Hugs and blessings.
  • So much to see on this walk Amazing The town, the barges, ,the island, mansions! A wooded area, a palace with excellent gardens . Fields of beautiful flowers. and in a two hour walk. Stopping for a beer. If a two hour walk was done along the Swan river in Perth you'd see none of that. A river ,walking path and green grass....a lovely view across the river of Perth city. Thank you, that was stunning.
  • We always enjoy your videos. Thanks for taking us along on your walk. We visited Hampton Court in 2010 and had a wonderful time. Such a beautiful place. You are lucky to have so much history. Cheers Ron and Dovie
  • I love a good walk along a lake, river or ocean. This was so scenic & delightful.
  • @TXMEDRGR
What a wonderful walk and not too far for most folks. Thanks for bringing us along with you.
  • That was lovely. Thank you so much for sharing. Can’t wait to visit London some day. ❤️
  • Thanks for the Sunday stroll, it's good to see so many people out enjoying the parks and the river. Probably a good thing that it was cloudy =-) Take care.
  • W taki gorąc,jaki jest w Polsce ,taka wielka rzeka jak Tamiza i taki duży park ,to podstawa do odpoczynku. Piękny teren. Dziękuję i pozdrawiam.
  • So enjoyable to watch along the path with you, it’s so peaceful and relaxing. That’s quite a ways around, I would’ve stopped at the Pub as well! 😅
  • Ooh, that looks a nice walk, thank you for sharing Simon and Will, always a pleasure to watch.❤
  • 😊 what a beautiful way to spend a Sunday afternoon Simon and Will !!! Thanks for taking us along with you both. Loved hearing and seeing the horse carriages, narrow boats and a bit of Hampton Court (that video was fab) all that ironwork at the gates are beautifully designed. Just imagine being the blacksmiths and all the hours that went into creating all that ironwork. Appreciate your videos and sharing the history, buildings as you take us on a stroll. That portion of the Thames reminded me of our Yarra River in Melbourne, Victoria Australia 🦘 on a nice warm day with people enjoying a picnic, bbq, relaxing on a rug, rowing club's boats out and the city sightseeing cruises aswell 😊 Happy Travels and Good Health to you both from Melbourne, Australia 🌏 🐨🦘🦜 🦔🐦🦚🦆🦢🐦🦟🐝🐞🦋🤠👍
  • Watching this from the stinking hot desert (113 degrees, or 45 Celsius today), what a lovely walk, thank you for bringing us along, that was a treat!
  • Another winner, guys! Thanks for the constant inspiration!
  • That was a wonderful walk thanks. Love the Thames with the boats out. Those wildflowers were just gorgeous. Thank you so much for that. Please take care
