This weapon is absolute doodoo thrash. I can stunlock entire fkn devastators with it and just take on entire armies with it and the ballistic shield. Thrash F tier bottom of the dumpster weapon.

You give the best takes on Helldiver weapons and tactics. Everyone else is talking about this weapon for the bugs but it’s so great at stopping berserkers from taking space and running over my squad.

Fun gun. To be fair, most war bonds only have 2-3 useful things and the rest are junk.

Funny timing on this video. I played the pummeler + ballistic shield combo earlier today and it was so freaking fun. I initially brushed this weapon off but I'm so glad I gave it a chance. Becoming the designated tank for the team was amazing. (I'm sure the stun effect is gonna get massively reduced but I REALLY hope it won't. This is such a fun setup.)

As a shield diver, this gun is a godsend. The only thing the normal defender struggled with was rocket devastators. With this gun you can bonk them in the rockets and follow up with a headshot or three for an easy kill or stunlock. I didn't know that targets can't call for help while stunned, time to be a shield ninja. It's now hilarious to me that the SMG is gonna be a better stealth weapon than the nearly silent laser cannon I run with the shield. Melted in .25 of a second? Base alerted. Stun locked for 2 seconds? Base unalerted rofl.

Always nice to see these deep dives, rather than just another "Eugh, it doesn't melt what's in front of me!" Each review is a personal opinion, but still. If the best opinion somebody has is "I don't care about utility, I just want shoot-shoot" they likely shouldn't be advising the wider community. Appreciate you!
